I'd characterize it as very insular at this point, although I did get invited to BasedCon twice, so it's starting to grow. If your criticism is "I don't know what the fuck this is," now that I think on it, you're entirely right. That's a fairly constructive criticism.
I usually start collecting payments on the first or second of the month and actually send out the documents/hardcopies by the beginning of the first week.

It's fun, satisfying having passion projects. It's cool. Also I like the stuff made by no-name musicians, illustrators, and authors. They tend to be better this decade. Something about them is surprisingly higher-quality than in the 2010s, at least so far. We'll see how this new crop hashes out and how well their ideas / content ages.

It plays on the very 2015 and on impulse people exhibit to have a take on everything. Couple that with giving young men license to appeal to their own interests being atypical, and I think that makes for these tournaments being a big hit. It opens the door to silly beefing over blondes vs redheads and to other topics like if personality matters in anime waifus. I noticed this lack of long-term planning as well. It's just that it isn't with Jews exclusively. I see it with shitlibs as well. Both groups seem to have this idea in their head that if you can't prove with absolute aristotelian certainty that A leads to B, it just doesn't.
This leads into another observation on their psychology. To Jews (and shitlibs!), they don't seem to think that there is an actual, objective external reality quite in the way that you or I might perceive it and, very importantly, that their word games LITERALLY transform reality. The tranny shit has come to the fore most recently because it's so on the nose, so obvious, and so malignant, but they're like this with everything else. They believe that if you redefine men as women based on how they self-identify, that those men become women. They literally adopt the other traits of womanhood by their redefinition.
I know it's a geeky way to approach this topic but it feels like they believe they're engaging in a kind of spellcasting. In twisting and manipulating the phraseology of a situation, they don't just deceive the listener, they literally alter the nature of the situation or the thing they're describing.

I got accusatory and even rude right off the bat when Lanodan came right out the gate with "um we won't touch this until after you totally rewrite it in this completely arbitrary way" and I'm feeling quite vindicated with that disposition now. These people have a need to be oblique about their actual intentions and I've learned, over the years, how to suss out what things are really about.
Muh standard is a pretext at best. Not only does Pleroma not care about the standard, but I bet if I cherry-picked @npub108p…yev6 's commit and tried to submit it to Pleroma with maybe rewriting the commit message to "better ActivityPub spec conformity" or something like that, it wouldn't get accepted. Even if I directly supported it with the spec's actual exact words.
@npub1vwr…fnzd didn't want to merge my commit that includes the url field for scrobbling based on a misreading of the ActivityPub spec. The url field can be any representation of the Audio document, like a page about the document or an audio file, or, yes, a web page that streams the audio file. He insisted on me putting the user-submitted YouTube/SoundCloud/whatever URLs into externalLink for reasons.
It's farcical. I'm unlikely to try to work with these people again.

None of the games you listed capture the TTRPG feel. Shit like enumerated lists of dialog options pretty much by definition cheapens the experience a TTRPG offers, and having a small list of a few dozen outcomes, which by video game standards is quite a big list, just doesn’t compare to a TTRPG. If a GM did that in a TTRPG, people would call it railroading.
Efforts at copying TTRPG elements in video games have largely failed, especially if it’s attempted on a 1:1 basis. None of the games you listed maintain the “feel” of a TTRPG and if you think they do, you either don’t play TTRPGs or your GMs were consistently railroading you.
While you are correct that CDPR missed the mark, it wasn’t primarily due to its deviation from TTRPG rules.

@npub1drg…7yxw I think it's important that we have an organized religion, but my devotion to any particular church isn't as slavish as they probably want. I kind of view it this way: it's legitimate, until it isn't.
As for scripture, the canon we now call the "Bible" was cherry picked, reconstructed, edited, and otherwise altered in who knows how many ways. Around 350 AD, not long after the first council was really formed, they banned all "heretical" writings. A lot of scriptures were lost this way, and many more were edited to fit their agenda. The Gnostic texts come to mind, which were lost for nearly two millennia before being rediscovered by a fluke.
Who knows what else is lost.
