I decided to look at the current state of standalone mp3 players. For some reason they're all chunkier than my first iPod and have absurd specs. Why would you ever need 3GB of RAM to play audio? 32GB is a couple FLAC albums and is pitiful for storage. All this can be yours for $300.
It is nice that many of them have physical buttons and knobs, admittedly.

Employing illegals almost always involves other crimes. Identity theft, tax fraud, paying below minimum wage, etc. It's going to be a very difficult burden to prove there wasn't probable cause, it's a low standard that a single anonymous tip can overcome. Once there is justification to be there it doesn't really matter what the initial justification was if other illegal activity can be proven as a result.
