Today was fun. I spent a lot of the day doing job stuff, then I did drawing and coloring. I practiced a few body/motion pics, since I haven't done those in a while. I saw bigger bodies and they just looked so interesting to draw and so i did that. Then people were wanting art on bsky and so I drew two people. I think my drawings look very baby which isn't intended but i'm glad the recipients liked the. I drew an old friend, Wish Skunk, and I drew a doodle for Cheryl (LowPoly) They both loved it. Cheryl even printed and posted it to her wall. I didn't think my doodles would like enjoyed so much.
Diapered for the night, but I missed a day of IK, oop. Oh well back to 0.

Adri/Sabaw is more connected to my abdl side whereas Kiki is tied more to the age regression, self care and healing side of myself. I've never quite felt right having it split but at the same time it feels weird to combine it.
The latter is actually way more important to me than the diapers ever could be but they work so well together as a whole that one without the other seems kind of silly. There's always been overlap. I am one person after all.
In the last few weeks I've strengthened friendships. Renewed friendships. Made new friends Felt like I really belong.
This may come as a surprise but I'm not as outgoing as I may seem. I actually fight against a very powerful invisible force of anxiety every single day.
My desire for connection overrides everything. I often get it in my head that I'm not deserving of such things but its not true. Look at all you. It's been years and so many of us are still here. It's about time I do my best to return energy and help you all.

it's weird that the older I get the more susceptible to motion sickness I get. a few years ago I couldn't really handle rollercoasters very well. inconsistent framerates/frame pacing in video games triggers it too. My first JSRF stream through the xbox360 made me feel sick in 99th street.
Breath of the Wild was a game that gave me huge headaches on the switch 1 but on the switch 2 it's actually a lot more enjoyable. I'm not saying I'm a framerate snob but my body seems to disagree with subpar performance. I'd rather consistent frames than better graphics any day.

only problems I ran into today was that I accidentally nuked telegram and I obliterated by wifi drivers. It wasn't too hard to get them back but it was a reminder of a thing I could see probably upsetting a brand new adopter. Luckily there was documentation and I just had to read the log to see what driver specifically was missing. I was also lucky my usb ethernet connector worked in this case.

I tried using the flatpack command and was immediately like "Ok, I didn't like that." and was surprised at how quickly I could reverse the choice. The option of desktop environment is also a fun one. I think this distro comes with plasma which I think is KDE (Sorry i'm new to this.) but when I installed this I selected cinnamon (and it's still cinnamon after I updated from debian 12 to 13 today.) Gosh I feel like i'm 14 learning to computer all over again.

the distro selection almost looks like one of those silly personality tests from teen magazines lmao.. my daddy uses arch but he's also an advanced user. I chose debian because it was what I was used to but I also liked the whole mentality around it. (I'm a stable kinda toof, read about it in the readme.) I guess if I was running newer hardware I would want arch?

switch 2 seems to have fixed the WiFi problem. I tend to play my system docked and wired and I've had little to no issues online so it actually 100% seems to be in the hardware side of things. 5 hour Mario kart with 3 friends and no disconnect was pretty cool. Most people seem to use wifi.
I had to get a wired adapter to play on my switch original, splat was pretty much unplayable over wifi.
I'm one of those hard wire types who always prefers a direct connection over wireless.

these are all fair points. One thing I forgot to mention is that a lot of these games are also going style over substance. And their loops become extremely shallow. I think of games like Spiderman or Horizon. Games that look amazing but ultimately are barely games. They're more movie than game. What if they spent less money texturing the face and more into the game itself? I guess this is why I don't mind games looking crappy on the surface if their gameplay makes up for it. All in all maybe games should come down in price. Or at least come down in scope since feature creep is unsustainable.

This makes sense. I never buy DLC in most games unless it's a full on expansion which DLC usually isn't. I have a very anti DLC stance since the days of golden horse armor in oblivion. If the content wasn't important enough to include as part of the package then it's probably not worth playing. Amusingly NSO has the cheapest entry cost for online play compared to PS+ and XBL and way cheaper than PC games like FFXIV or Warcraft.
Amusingly I also have a very anti free to play stance since those games tend to nickel and dime you and give you a worse gameplay experience unless you paid 100 bucks worth of QoL so there's no simple solution it seems.
Now this last part is going to be a bit of a hot take/odd opinion: I think games have been underpriced for way too long. At some point there should have been a correction on the base price of games. Selling them for cheap as they've been the last 15 years or so feels unsustainable as the scope creeps higher and higher.
The fact that games are so cheap causes people to easily discard and neglect games because they're so cheap. Only small dev teams with lower overhead and reasonable scope can seem to price games under 50 dollars.
That being said if Pokemon is a bad value, there's always cassette beasts. :charmandrawr:
Again these are only early impressions and it stands to reason that the game might totally completely suck by the end.

Pokemon Z-A initial thoughts. The game is not as bad looking as all the complaints made it out to be. It plays about the same as Legends Arceus. Goals are similar. The world has a surprising amount of explorable areas. It's pretty good(for a pokemon game) We'll see how it continues to go as I explore.

amusingly the legends games are the best in the franchise mostly because it's the only place game freaks are willing to experiment and think outside the box. Many Japanese game devs are deathly afraid of mixing up the formula and when they decide to change it takes ages to do it. Must be a project management problem at the core

What do you do when the thing you're most passionate about has the most hostile fans an a multiple array of kept gates? Are you allowed to be mad when you hold the keys?
There always seems to be a threshold, a minimum level you must reach before anyone takes you seriously in any interest. The gate proves a genuine interest, but it can also turn away potential interest. I think about this when it comes to games all the time.
But really it applies to anything, games, music, movies, theater. Come with the wrong example of the thing getting your foot in the door and you'll get absolutely dunked on. It's a weird mindset.
"I wanna see more anime, I liked this one anime called Korra"
anime fans look at each other in disgust. Proceed to tell you all american animation inspired by anime is trash, is not real, and that you should leave.

My undies looked similar to this from when I was potty trained till I was 12, It's no wonder I also like diapers/pull ups that are predominantly solid white with bright colored accents and big prints. I may be weird in this regard.
So yeah personal opinion, I do feel like pixel diaper adds to the list of busy and overly designed diapers. It's okay! I just prefer something a little toned down. (I also don't hate them. I'd totally wear them but I think i'd prefer something more like a try again than a pixel.)

if games went on sale every now and then on nintendo, I'd be more down to buy or even blindly try some. That can even be an entry point to sell me more of that game. They got me to pay for tons of MK8 over the span of 8 years. Make something good and people will pay to play it officially. No one's gonna go through the trouble of setting up yuzu for co-op play or get their system banned for a duplicate serial on a cart if it's just do things the normal way.
The moment there are road blocks, unofficial means become more palatable. I saw that game card key and I just sadly shook my head. Bad move.

Distribution has also become significantly cheaper, and publishing is significantly cheaper. There is more supply and therefore that drives down demand. Plus games are not finite. Once they're made you can make infinite copies.
I'm for supporting games but high prices are not sustainable.

bonus points: letting me be a little bigger during the day, but sliding back to safety at night. Big kid undies! Choose the prints, matching socks. But after bathtime, diapers are the better choice, choose jammies together, update the star chart, do a quick check to be ready for the next day (backpack, homework, next days outfit etc.)

I'm a unique case as I'm a confident big kid. The trick is to encourage those big kid traits while balancing out the things I can't or shouldn't do on my own.
For example, being happy that I did things on my own like getting dressed or cleaning my room.
Not letting me change my own diapers or pull ups. Praising me when dry, supporting me when not, giving supporting words like "Didn't quite make it..but let's try again ok? No big deal."

apparently according to wikipedia there's like infighting with the standards between w3c and WHATWG(Something I never heard of until i restarted relearning web dev) It's interesting to see what's gone and what's new. (I originally learned around 2003) CSS is completely new to me, I never bothered learning because I used tools back in the day to generate it for me.
A lot of css changes appear so subtle, I'm squinting wondering whether or not the changes I made were entered wrong or the change is so subtle no one would notice anyway. I do find it funny when a missing semi-colon causes the browser to ignore everything after said semi-colon.

This week's focus is def gonna be hammering out bedtime. It's been so so so difficult for me to stick to routine this month. Gotta return to basics.
I'm not entirely sure what steps I can take except prevent myself from crashing early.

Honestly that explanation is fair, and you know where the line is. As long as you have clean art on little characters, it's fine. So, SF can work, if you respect the boundaries. But I do think many would find it overly restrictive.

I read the info on SoFurry's AUP/ToS and they also do not permit little characters non rated G situations. I wonder if it's safe as people think it is. It's equally vague. You gotta be rated G/TV-Y. Paraphrasing "Something you wouldn't mind showing your parents or grandmother."
