And the workplace assemblies, solidarity networks rooted in actual production and reproduction, no substitutionism, no spectacle politics. The fact that this experience does not translate cleanly into your preferred milieu is not a failure of the AIT. It is a failure of your framework.
What actually makes people mad about the IWA-AIT is that it refuses recomposition theory as an excuse to abandon class autonomy. It refuses electoral detours. It refuses party fronts, red NGOs, and activist managerialism. It insists anarcho-syndicalism is a workers’ movement or it is nothing.
If that makes you uncomfortable while waving the IWW flag, maybe ask why the AIT still scares people who claim to oppose hierarchy. I stand with the IWA-AIT and with the CNT-AIT of Spain because anarcho-syndicalism without federalism, direct action, and class independence is just left branding with better fonts.

I'm going to fucking rant, I'm so fed up, because this is a weird take coming from someone namechecking the IWW while sneering at the only international that actually maintains anarcho-syndicalist continuity without collapsing into NGO unionism or influencer radicalism.
If you seriously think pointing people to the IWA-AIT is “grown in a lab to make you mad,” that says way more about your politics than about the AIT. The IWA-AIT is literally the last international that still operates on classical anarcho-syndicalist principles in practice, not just vibes. Federalism from the base, mandated and recallable delegates, rejection of union elections, no permanent officials, no paid bureaucracy, no mediation with the state. You know, the stuff that actually defines anarcho-syndicalism.
Your profile screams IWW but your line here maps perfectly onto the ICL-CIT tendency. Soft syndicalism, platformist gravity, constant handwringing about being too “orthodox,” and a total allergy to the AIT statutes because they block informal leaderships and activist capture. That is exactly why the post-split crowd hates the AIT. You cannot turn it into a brand or a network or a content ecosystem.
The CNT-AIT conflict is not obscure sectarian trivia. The CNT-AIT defended the statutes of the International against a coordinated push toward representative structures, legal normalization, and de facto paid functionaries. That fight is documented in excruciating detail, including by people who were actually there, not just podcasting about it years later. The Red and Black Anarchists pieces lay this out clearly, including how accusations of “authoritarianism” were used to justify dismantling federalism and class independence. If you have not read them, you are arguing from ignorance, full stop.

If you don’t already know, I’m an anarcho-syndicalist and I’m tired of people thinking that means I’m some authoritarian commie pretending to be leftist. I don’t bootlick party lines or worship dead strongmen. Centralized power rots no matter what color the flag is.
Hear me out, I’ve read actual labor history, I know what labor power means. We build our politics on horizontal organizing and direct action, not on some bureaucrat ordering purges in the name of the people. Real socialism comes from below, not from a vanguard bootlicking org.
You cannot even compare us. You think we’re the same thing because propaganda taught you to lump everything anti-capitalist together. The West fears revolt, so it rewrote every radical idea to look like another dictatorship, and you bought it.

As for Rocker, I saw that he had been an influential voice in the anarchist/workers’ movement, holding speeches in London’s East End and traveling across Europe to speak on the subject.
And when I read Rocker, I realized his description of anarcho-syndicalism put into words ideas I’d already believed in without knowing they formed a political tradition.
I’m glad I naturally chose to pick up Rocker’s book as my introduction instead of starting with Chomsky. Chomsky’s history has become quite controversial, especially given his appearance in the Epstein files.

If you believe capitalism is something we simply have to live with, then we are not standing on the same ground. I cannot accept the idea of resigning myself to a system built on exploitation and inequality, treated as if it were natural or eternal. What passes for stability in capitalism is only the quiet before another round of dispossession.
I reject the kind of unionism that settles for small reforms while leaving the machinery of domination untouched. Progress does not come from permission granted by bosses or politicians but from the self‑activity of workers themselves. My focus is on building genuine grassroots power through direct action and shared responsibility. The goal is not minor negotiation but a transformative general strike in which working people take control of production and reorganize society around mutual aid, federalism, cooperation, and freedom.
I believe, as Rudolf Rocker emphasized, that the working class must organize itself along syndicalist lines. Rocker taught that no political party can liberate workers on their behalf. Only through voluntary association, local initiative, and solidarity across trades and borders can we begin to dissolve wage slavery. Syndicalism is the practical expression of liberty in action. It calls for a federation of free communities and workers’ collectives that manage industry and agriculture for the common good, guided by federalist principles rather than profit.
To me, real freedom cannot exist where people are dependent on wage labor for survival. The task is to unite knowledge and labor, thought and practice, until social production serves human needs rather than private gain. That is the horizon I move toward each day, with others who refuse to bow to the illusion that capitalism is permanent.

As we move into 2026, I want to be clear about where I stand. I support classic psychedelics like psilocybin, psilocin, LSD, and also cannabis, not because I think everyone should use them, but because I believe in the freedom of consciousness.
This isn’t a war on drugs; it’s a war on consciousness itself. The stigma surrounding psychedelics has been built and reinforced by decades of fear-based media and institutional control. Simply talking about these substances is bout to send some people on the Fediverse into outrage, which says more about the conditioning than about the substances themself.
I am proudly pro-psychedelics. For those struggling with depression, PTSD, or deep emotional wounds, these tools, when used with respect and proper guidance, can offer genuine healing. They can also serve as a way for anyone seeking to explore the layers of their own ego and understand themselves on a deeper level.
But as we know, society and cultures often treat altered states of mind as something dangerous, when in reality, they are among humanity’s oldest pathways to growth, connection, and awakening.

I’m used to seeing this page at work during lunch, and half my RSS feed won’t even load at work!
It’s infuriating that this dumb web filtering from FortiGuard is blocking access!
Edit: to be clear, I can access your website at work, my network does not have as stricter rules as others might set!
Edit 2: What I find amusing is that my workplace allows access to right-wing extremist sites but blocks women's rights advocacy sites, due to advocacy concerns lol!
