Last Notes npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Hope you're feeling better soon Jude. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith looks good Caity. Has Rosie passed judgement on it yet? 😜 I had the littlest grandson (Master 3) over for a bit today and we both put Dracula teeth in (the lolly ones). Monty took one look and bolted. He was very worried. So grandson and I ate the teeth and Monty came out to play again. 😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith 😄 Monty's not much of a singer. I used to have a dog that enjoyed a good howl and I do miss that. 😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith They are. But I think Monty has had enough of me singing them to him in the car (he probably thinks I'm in pain) 😄😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I've got two, quite different, tunes stuck in my head at the moment. Misty by Ray Stevens and Do Nothing by the Specials. https://youtu.be/U7uSUv2deec https://youtu.be/O0KSzuLvhAM 😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith ha! Wasn't there a song about that? The Yellow Nose of Texas? 😂🤣 I've had house issues today too. The booster in my hot water system isn't working. I don't think I've ever used it as the sun normally provides plenty of hot water but now Grandson number 1 is living with me we've been running out. I turned on the booster but to no avail. Called the Solarhart folk out and they checked everything over and said that it's all working ok but there's no electricity supply to the booster. Tomorrow the electrician will come and check out what's going on. Meanwhile we hope there's been enough sun to bring the water temperature up above luke warm. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith No root canal work is a positive even if you're not being gifted a cure yet. 🤞for a good fix soon. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith The sun is out in Canberra and 🤞it stays that way for a few days at least. It was down to 6C overnight and the forecast top is 13 so I won't be getting the shorts out yet 😄. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith The two continents that I haven't set foot on are South America and Antarctica so it would be one of them. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Dog park; collect daughter's Labrador; take dogs home; pick up DiL and grandaughter, drive them to vet and pick up their dog; drive DiL to mechanic to pick up her car; take dogs for walk; drop daughter's Labrador home; put bin out for morning collection; drive grandson to shops to buy shawermas for dinner; later, ring mum. It's been a busy day. 🤪 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Bon voyage Jude. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Me too. 13 hours flights are bad enough. 22 hours would be horrible. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Apparently it was down to 3 degrees C here overnight but my outdoor thermometers say the overnight low was 6C. It definitely felt cool at the dog park. We've got a bit of fog around but, when that's gone, it should be a nice sunny day with a high around 17. ;? ) npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Sunrise on this foggy Saturday morning. #canberra #umbagong https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/739/434/266/437/798/original/c37bd7b7538ce441.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Ah yes, the incredible Hume who mounts such a compelling case she'd struggle to convince the Pope that he's Catholic. 🤮 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Yes Trish it was. Minus two and felt like minus five according to ABC Canberra when I headed for the dog park at about 6.30. it's been sunny all day though. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Now I've got Warren Zevon in my head (and he'll probably stay the whole day) arooooo! https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=lh0w01S7Jnk&si=E_bKNpl5UKzkDlQm npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith That's about the time that I have to start telling Monty that it's too early to go to the dog park. Then he asks for updates every 20 or 30 minutes. We generally get up at 5.30 but, being a Sunday, stayed under the covers until 6.20. Then we went for a walk for an hour or so and now we're back home and having breakfast. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Can you get family to check on it while you're away Jude? In case it's a leaking tap. If it's the drain then not a problem if it's not being used but if it's a tap or a water pipe then you don't want to leave it. A drip can soon become a steady flow. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Cold at my place too Caity. Littlest grandson has been over to play trains and watch tv with Monty. He's just gone home and I need a rest now 😄 https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/695/144/286/011/074/original/be3e7c746a4e53d4.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep. Hopeless. The only good thing that came from that was the corflute juxtaposition at the following elections "Hanson : Cocks". Very descriptive of the Libs. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep, she'll be a good addition to the assembly. I think the countback isn't quite a certainty in regards to who the replacement will be but there would need to be a very unusual level of preference leaking. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith must be vomit weather. Monty had a psychedelic yawn this morning too. 🤪 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith She could always go back to her old job. She was pretty good at it. Clouds - an original song by Leanne Castley: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDh5TXeoNro&feature=share npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith That was an awfully tragic accident and we certainly need to do everything we can to improve driving related safety. Age is a factor but it's not just the elderly. The 17 to 25 bracket are just as big a problem and men feature more than women. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Although, I should add that my son and his family have just bought a new house and now have to sell their old place to clear the bridging loan asap. Some panic is brewing as they worry they won't get as much as was anticipated. I guess there will be some recent buyers who may now slide into negative equity. Overall though, the improving affordability is good. 🤞 Negative impacts are shortlived. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Yep, house prices down and wages up. That's a good news story that should be celebrated a lot more than it is. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Ross Solly asked her about joining One Nation and her answer didn't really sound as though she's ruled it out. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I wonder if she'll stand as an Independent at the next election. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith The battle between the Right and the extreme Right is still bubbling along in the Canberra Liberals. I suspect it has a long way to run before we get to see which faction wins. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I love them Caity. Really eye catching works. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Crispin Hull does a good job calling out the BS being spread regarding tax and the budget. #auspol https://www.crispinhull.com.au/2026/05/25/death-to-news-ltd-propaganda/#more-13426 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Albo the unavailing. He's bought and owned by the gas companies (and the gambling companies, etc). npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Looks great Caity. 👍 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith BHP - Bloody Horrible People. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith NAAC Commissioner Brereton resigns - not a moment too soon. #auspol https://live.thepoint.com.au/2026/05/the-point-live-day-one-of-estimates-as-labor-continues-the-hard-sell-of-its-budget/ npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I think they're better off, politically, to remain independent. That doesn't prevent them from working together on issues of common concern but it does allow them to prioritise their electorate's concerns ahead of a party position. Financially they would be better off as a party - until the Farrell funding scam is ruled unconstitutional. I haven't seen the interview. I might try and find it on iView but I'm not an Insider's fan. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Australia's very own Mad King destroying the planet one or more mine and gas well at a time. A true climate vandal. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I remember my mum getting a bit stressed and tense when exhibition days were getting close. She was into watercolours and was pretty active with her local art society but gave it up about 10 years ago in her mid 80s. Good luck for your exhibition. Will Rosie be helping with the sitting? I've heard that she's very good at sitting - as long as there are treats. 😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith My eldest grandkid moved in with me while still in the womb (return of a prodigal daughter) and they stayed for about 7 years. It wasn't what I had planned for but wouldn't change it even if I could. I hope things work out just as well for you 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I got my regular notification, from Monty Loco, about getting up to go to the dog park at 5.08 this morning. When we get there he'll be unhappy about the rain. Probably worries that if his fur gets wet it'll dry curly and people will think he's a poodle. 😜 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith is the marmalade usually that blood red colour? 😜 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep, she's definitely seeing the world through the Zionist filter. Has expressed some really troubling opinions in the past. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Tiny Tim, Great Balls of Fire https://youtu.be/awj_kv6pb7o 😜 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I'm a happy old bugger but I'm not sure that I'm happier than when I was younger. Happy is my default setting but has occasionally been disturbed by malfeasants (Thatcher, Howard, Abbott, Morrison, Trump Netanyahu to name a few). I walk fast too - that's how I stopped Monty pulling on the lead (cognitive win there as well. Outsmarted a pup) 😄. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Happy anniversary Jude 🎉🥂 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Yep. All the performative outrage BS from the Coalition and Labor pandering to racists is nothing short of depraved. At least it makes it easy to know who to put last next time we get to vote. I'm really pleased these women and their kids are coming home. #auspol npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Agreed. I worry a fair bit that government will be off target in identifying those who are 'not doing it tough' though. Much of the commentary seems to suggest that rather than lift up folk who are doing it tough we'll be dragging down those who are a little better off. It's the corporate tax dodging and the super wealthy that should be contributing more. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep, I struggle to see how the RBA is making the right decisions on this. If the economy is overheating, and that seems highly questionable, Government should be applying the brakes in a more equitable way. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith There's a Voices for Belconnen and Gungahlin group too. Probably the toughest of the ACT seats federally though. Andrew Leigh got close to 50% of first preference votes and 65% on 2PP last time around. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith it really can be quite frustrating at times can't it. And being a Smith means I have a lot of potential ancestors to sort through. My Mum is a Baxter and they're almost as numerous as Smiths. Anyway, after about 7 hours, I've managed to connect my DNA match to my tree. She's a third cousin and our most recent common ancestors are my great great grandparents who lived in Berkshire, England from around the 1820s up to the early 1900s. 🥳😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I've been working on a family history thing - trying to connect the dots on a DNA match but have achieved nothing all morning. I haven't found how I'm related to my DNA match but have visited several rabbit holes and now know quite a bit about several families that I have no connection to.😄😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith We saw this nice bit of art under a bridge over the Ginninderra Creek on this arvos walk. #ginninderracreek #canberra #art https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/503/825/930/240/390/original/2707dbe593daf887.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Yet more human rights abuse by Labor. They really are a disgrace. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith She highlights an issue that is constantly being swept under the carpet by our government and others. It's totally unacceptable that our government still considers Israel an ally. Israel is a depraved, rogue state committing the most heinous crimes with impunity. 🤬 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Monty Loco had a busy time at the dog park this morning. Lots of running and chasing. Back home now, he's had his breakfast and has found a sunny spot to recharge. 😀 #dogsofmastodon https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/439/468/674/790/133/original/963ed44b025dd9af.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I had my daughter's dog, Laura, as well as Monty Loco with me for this morning's walk. They're not ideally matched as Monty just likes to walk non-stop while Laura likes to stop and sniff every second clump of grass. We had a good time out anyway often under the studious gaze of the locals. ;? ) #canberra #umbagong #kangaroos https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/428/082/831/167/098/original/eaef3ef2d7d9b59f.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith It was a cool but beautiful morning at Umbagong today. Monty and I were there a bit after 7 and the sunlight playing in the mist above the creek was stunning. #canberra #umbagong https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/422/627/004/400/389/original/68d164e9fa86d604.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Bought and owned by the fossil fools. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith hopefully this paves the way for a similar ruling on the Farrell Fiddle. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep, it was working ok for me. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I think you're right but Hastie is from the Christofascist faction and would be far more dangerous. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith He looks as though he'd struggle to tie his own shoe laces. He's really got NFI. Just tired old racist dog whistling. About 50% of Australians were either born overseas or have at least one parent born overseas. 🤯🤬 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Here she is. Ruby. https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/401/434/887/491/817/original/3d4da48fc038439c.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith My day's going nicely. Dog park with Monty Loco first thing, then a bit of work in the shed and then a visit to my son to meet their new pup. An Aussie Cobber. I'd never heard of them but they're like a Labradoodle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Cobberdog I'm back at home now and Monty wants to know who the "other dog" is. He reckons he can smell her on me. 😄 He's not allowed to meet her for a few more weeks until she's sufficiently vaccinated. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith yep. It gets cold in Canberra but more often than not it's sunny and that makes a difference. Mum's in the south east of England (closer to France than she is to Manchester). I stayed with her for all of February and only had 3 days when it didn't rain. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I guess coalition voters needn't be too despondent. At least Angus makes Matt Canavan look better. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith you're right. When I was at Mum's in February it was like being in a sauna and mum was complaining it was too cold. 😜 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith my place is pretty well insulated too. Rock wool in the walls, batts in the ceiling, floating floors, double glazed windows and doors. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I had the heater on from about 3.30 yesterday afternoon. I aim to turn it on before the temperature drops too much so it doesn't have to work as hard to bring it back up. I'm not sure if that saves electricity or not. Generally I have the temperature set to 20 degrees which some people think is not warm enough but it seems comfortable to me. I turn the heating off when I go to bed. The battery dropped to 52% of it's 16kwh capacity overnight and is charging happily this morning starting from a bit after 7.30 am. It's just charging from the solar panels. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I feel sorry for her. I used to have some dodgy characters close to me and it was nightmarish at times. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I replaced my solar panels and added a battery last September. Since then I've powered the house (100% electric) and my EV totally without drawing anything from the grid. It handled running the aircon ok through summer but maybe now that it's in heating mode I'll need to be a bit more careful about what appliances I use and when. I've got a solarhart hot water system and get enough hot water from the sun so it's not usually using any power although I need the booster occasionally in the depths of Winter. I don't get enough feed in credits to cover the power company's fixed connection fee so I'm paying about $50 per qtr for that. My main reason for going solar/battery and EV is to minimise my carbon footprint. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I was recently treated by a robotic urologist. He was amazingly lifelike. 😜 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith old whiskey Pete certainly puts the "nut job" in RWNJ. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Hope it comes good sooner rather than later Jude. 🤞😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I love it too. I've been tracking back from my DNA matches lately and that's been really fascinating. I even found a first cousin, once removed, that no one in the family knew about. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith the NSW BMD certificates are expensive compared to the UK ones and much slower. But still bring great satisfaction when the missing grand aunt, who disappeared from UK records in the early 1900s but then reappeared in Portland, Oregon in 1914 is found getting married in Sydney in 1913. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith And that reminds me of a joke: A horse walks into a bar and orders a whiskey. The barman says to the horse "You're in here a lot. Do you think you might be an alcoholic"? "I don't think I am" replied the horse and instantly it disappeared. It's a joke based on René Descartes idea of "I think therefore I am" but if I'd mentioned that at the start it would be putting Descartes before the horse. ;? ) npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith And more of the philosophical https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/368/861/082/899/091/original/d6ffec0fc90d630a.webp npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith A class struggle https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/368/842/154/054/982/original/38f8f0befaea852a.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Here's a couple more. An Easter one. https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/368/826/565/659/684/original/16a5ffbf42e6eaaa.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Netanyahu is and always has been the fly in the ointment. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith And this one. 😄 https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/367/309/628/423/222/original/43a9efd9d53e6cad.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith This is one of my favourites. 😄 https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/367/303/161/576/222/original/c8bea6deacba9308.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Yes they are. Platforming a propagandist representing a criminal regime that has murdered about 300 journalists and media workers. And they have the nerve to call themselves a 'Press Club'. Reprehensible. #auspol npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith it's really good Josh. One of my friends is helping a young refugee with her English. The youngster is very interested in the Artemis mission so my friend is going to use your story with her this week. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith He was Mark of Cornwall in Arthur of the Britons on tv in the early 70s. Always does a good job whatever he's in. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I built a deck on the back of my place close to 40 years ago and it needs replacing. I don't think I'll do it myself this time although I might change my mind when I get quotes. 😄 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith thanks Caity. All done and results are good. The doc says nothing to worry about. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith All good. Had it done under a local so no hanging around in recovery. He says there's nothing to worry about. 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith well done Rosie. I can sympathize as I'm currently on the gurney waiting to go into theatre for a cystoscopy. 😬 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith let's call it neolaborism then. Same thing, different colour suit. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Thought I'd put my feet up for five minutes. The resident opportunist was quick to join the endeavour. #dogsofmastodon https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/316/083/368/078/264/original/d32c15ec44b866bf.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith the last time Israel invaded and occupied Lebanon it resulted in development of a resistance movement. It's called Hezbollah. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Don't quit. I can see in the replies that you've already got some good suggestions. I would definitely talk to someone more senior and your student union. You've got some difficult days ahead so 🫂 ✊💪 from Monty and me. npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith bugger. Hope getting onto it early means it won't be a problem for too long. 🤞 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith I get out early with Monty so that we don't get trampled by the park runners at Umbagong and my backyard thermometer said it was 3.7 degrees at a bit after 6. 🥶 The sun is out now though and it looks nice out. Enjoy your run 😀 npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith 😄 BBQ chicken gets Monty's attention better than most things and I've tried heaps of different treats. He's really not motivated by food. It's a challenge that I haven't faced with any of my previous dogs. He's good natured, enjoys human company and loves playing with other dogs so there are no real problems. He doesn't like to be left alone though and has tried to dig through the front door while I'm out grocery shopping. I'm trying different toys and treats to discourage that. The front door incident. I think that face is his version of Bart Simpson's 'I didn't do it, nobody saw me, you can't prove a thing' 😄 https://o.mastodon.au/media_attachments/files/116/286/692/894/289/915/original/ebb7318260e5dfc2.jpg npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith Pocock's right, it is shameful. Albanese's servile response to the gambling industry marks him as a total loser who has let Australians down badly. Again. #auspol npub1qhgas772arwgc6qr3vcvxenrgn2rkhamc7q5e60wzknaaqxnalfsp4w4jj John Smith the clickers are mostly just to signal that they've done good and a reward is on the way. It's a way of getting the positive message very close to the behaviour you want to reward. You need Rosie to make the connection between click and treat though. Maybe you'd have more luck with your voice - a quick 'good girl' and then a treat. Not all dogs take to training as enthusiastically as others though. I'm currently finding that Monty Loco's resistance is getting the upper hand over my persistence 😄😄
