If I download the program which allows me to see what the .cur and .ani files were, it doesn't change the factor that when I convert, it was for naught as the name will be different and since the file is now extensionless, it cannot be seen

It doesn't work like that because it's dozens of folders with thousands of files, all named in japanese, that you can choose (on windows) if you want to use any single file as any single use-case of a cursor, or even have multiple use-cases with the same file. But linux doesn't even recognize .cur and .ani, so I can't see what I'm doing and the names, when converted to something linux can use, become all gibberish because they were originally in japanese, so I can't memorize any that I like and when I downloaded the program to convert the files, it also just made everything disorganized because it needs to copy it to a specific folder unless I am to do it manually, thousands of files, that I can't see

You open the cursor customization on the settings and go through your folders to see the .ani and .cur files, since they're basically just image files
