I made a statistical inference between the number of people reporting sexual assaults against them, and the number of people accused and convicted of that crime. If my neighbor kept a coop, with several chickens obviously under their protection, all of them would be safer than that baby, though the right to keep property be less strong than parental rights, for human emotional reasons.
But if I killed and ate one of those chickens, I would not be in mortal peril from her flock.
I would not try that with crows. They retaliate, as humans do, against those who eat their species. This is not a matter of rights, but of prudence.

Necessity is not tremendously relevant. Vampires are not *obligate* sapiovores, but preventing them from hunting humans significantly increases the suicide rate. This can't even be diminished by donations of human blood. They have to satisfy the urge to hunt and kill people, or they are destroyed psychologically. Why not eradicate them? Because they can negotiate a deal. They provide a meaningful service, follow some rules, and in exchange get four hunts per year.

You are free to create a convention on the rights of livestock animals, if you are so inclined. Such could certainly create protections that would invalidate one person's ownership of an animal and transfer it to another. I do not think it will achieve widespread voluntary adoption, if it does not allow for a noted omnivorous species to eat animals under any circumstances.
The main difference, I think, is that most adult humans seek vengeance if you eat their babies.

Enter the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Guardianship is conditional on that guardianship being beneficial. Where possible, bad guardians are replaced. That requires the active intervention of other moral actors. We don't always have the administrative capacity to accomplish that. We do our best, but a person that can argue and advocate for themselves usually takes precedence. So child abuse persists wherever it cannot be prevented.

Chickens are neither innocent nor guilty. They lack the moral capacity for it. Their defense against being eaten by human or cryptid is the same as their defense against being eaten by a fox--roost somewhere safe.
They have zero access to the social contract. They are not moral actors. If a person kills a chicken, it is not murder; it is predation.

I once reduced the quaternion sandwich product by an impressive amount, enough to shave hours off of days-long test data reduction. Unfortunately, this was on a classified system, so I couldn't take it with me when the government representatives fired all of us subcontractor peons, and decided to do everything in MATLAB or something. They actually threw my work away.
Matrix math is some serious inner loop optimizing. This is big value to a lot of applications.

Read "Lord of the Flies". That's school when the adults don't keep the vicious children in check. If I recall it correctly, "Piggy", the last voice of reason, got smushed by a boulder.
It teaches how to navigate a broken society in a way that ensures society remains broken *in the correct way*. Same-age cohorts need to go away, to be replaced by same-aptitude groupings.

I wouldn't try to treat the symptoms without addressing possible root causes.
It's the voting system. Fix the crap voting methods before tackling the poor voter turnout.
It is demoralizing as Sisyphus's daily to do list when every election that ever runs, everywhere you go in the US, is a choice between stupid and evil. Or worse: uncontested races between either stupid or evil and nobody.
The two parties we have don't come close to full representation.

So I could, in theory, fly a camera drone in uncontrolled airspace, and record everything you do from the instant you depart your home to the instant you return to it? I could do that to *everyone*? If the courts do not have law to curtail that sort of behavior, they'd best discover it quickly. The current law is based on the idea that humans have at most two eyes to see, and can set up permanent cameras only on their own property, or carried by one body.

You can take *a* picture of anything you can see, from anywhere you have a right to be. You cannot take pictures of everything, from everywhere anyone can be. The presumption of semi-anonymity rests upon human capabilities. To follow one person, you have to forego following every other person. And in doing so, the follower can be identified and limited. Well, we should have to pay for them, just indirectly via taxes. Obviously, if you are creating vaccines, you should support a decent and comfortable lifestyle with that occupation in service to public health. But at the point of service, yeah, free of charge. Is there anyone out there that's a #Lawyer (enbarred in the US) interested in organizing a class action against Flock Safety and any other ALPR operators for stalking every motorist and violating our reasonable expectation of being unidentified and untracked while on the public roads? These spystalkers need a data retention policy of minutes, not days, for plate IDs that have no specific search reason. I would also like to be paid $10 or so to help them go bankrupt.

The concrete replaces two elements. Printer 1 is a fixed-frame XYZ-axis printer. It prints concrete structural elements reinforced by basalt fiber: columns, arches, subflooring, &c. These are assembled into a building skeleton, much like the steel frame of a taller building. Printer 2 is a robot-arm. It first prints temporary rails onto the subflooring. Then it follows the track, printing the outer walls and sinusoidal subwalls, and filling voids with mineral wool.

Wood structures apply the wrong constraints. Commercial lumber sells straight sticks and rectangular boards, and carpentry assembles a stud wall and places it before infrastructure goes in and drywall finishes it.
A steel-beam skeleton is more apt. The beams and pillars support the structure, and all the work from there goes over it. Altering the support to use mainly compression and little tension, over fewer stories, is doable in reasonably sized reinforced concrete members.

Also, I intend to add submanifold cold water plumbing and home-run hot water plumbing, in PEX, with bypassable fire protection sprinklers on the cold water pipes. Two separate electrical conduit PVC pipes--for high voltage AC, and low voltage AC and DC--with pull tape and wire already in the segments before placement. Being able to put pipes inside the wall before you finish building it is a great advantage.

No, this would be entirely self-engineered printed concrete structural members, assembled as a building skeleton, then covered over with printed concrete wall cladding, with blow-in mineral wool insulation in the voids. The dual wall concept would therefore only be self-supporting over its own story, transferring the weight down to foundation piers through arches, beams, columns, and ties. I don't like the current percentage of unprinted parts in "3D printed houses".
