The signals have been pretty loud for a number of years. Github doesn't mind disappearing repos without justification, it doesn't even qualify as a reliable git repository hosting solution anymore.

Sorry for late reply. In this particular case, i had a config file, and both title and description are in the JSON. I'll try to replicate the issue with a fresh site. When i publish from CI using -i and --no-config, i understand that the manifest will not have the title and description tags.

Just a quick question, @npub1uac…99rx i'm using nsyte 0.24.1 to deploy nsites, publishing works but one thing i've noticed is that it never stores the "title" and "description" in the manifest, even though they are defined in the config.json file. Root or named nsite makes no difference. Wondering if you might have an idea how to fix the title/description not being stored. Thanks!

What a great project. I published a (test) nsite using nsyte, but the nsite.lol https URL it gave me doesn't work, returns a 504 Gateway timeout error. When i run "nsyte ls" it outputs "Found on 2 relay(s), available on 0 server(s)" at the end. Will try with a different blossom server.

Great, that's an excellent idea. nostr_webrtc is a fork of matchbox (which is mainly used for games), you create a socket with a room URL and you'll be connected to everyone in that room. So i think that could work pretty well for the project you want to build.
I'll add an example in the repository so that you can see how to use it.

Hello. I stumbled upon your posts about #nostr and #webrtc by accident. Not sure what you want to build, just wanted to share that i wrote this rust project, nostr_webrtc, which makes it possible to establish webrtc connections by using nostr relays to exchange signaling data: https://codeberg.org/cipres/nostr_webrtc (the "wasm" branch has the latest code that can be used to write wasm games).
WebRTC signaling data is embedded into nostr events, NIP44-encrypted. Events are purged from relays after the connection is established.
The most complicated problem to solve was that WebRTC requires established roles: initiator or responder. The solution i implemented works well enough but could be improved.
Also wrote a basic nostr softphone with it called voistr, to make phone calls using your nostr identity: https://voistr.codeberg.page/ and a few games including pongstr: https://pongstr.codeberg.page/
Nostr + webrtc is quite fun :)

I've added spatial text-to-speech support to xonos, a 3d nostr client i'm working on. When you select a nostr note in space, the note's content is converted to speech and you can listen to the audio. The closer you are to the note, the louder the speech will be.

I discovered phantosmia reading your posts, seems like a very difficult condition. Does a saline nasal rinse using a neti pot bring some relief ? Neti pot rinse with Himalayan salt. I suppose that's something you've already tried ? Does castor oil or CBD help ? I hope you will find a solution, keep us posted.
But it looks like phantosmia can be caused by respiratory infections. So one thing i would try is colloidal silver, which is an incredible and very safe antibiotic. It must be easy to find in Switzerland. You can use it internally (drink it) and also using a nasal spray or with a nebulizer. That's the first thing i'd try, nasal spray with colloidal silver (10ppm or 15ppm) many times a day, and if it helps then it could be due to some kind of infection. Good luck !

I'm working on a multiplayer nostr game development library called disastr. https://codeberg.org/disastr/disastr
It is based on Bevy, a game engine written in Rust.
Nostr relays are used to establish webrtc connections between the players. Rollback netcode (with ggrs: https://crates.io/crates/ggrs) is used by default. Games are deployed on the web (WebAssembly).
The idea is to make it easy to develop multiplayer nostr games without having to worry about identity management, networking, lag issues, and focus on writing the game instead.

This is absolutely awesome, great work. The automatic installation of certificates in the system's trust store is nice. So if you disable the automatic cert install (auto_install: false), nodns-server will be able to resolve the record (using the 111111 events) but the cert won't be trusted so the browser will complain and you'd have to manually trust it ?

I'm working on voistr (nostr softphone) https://voistr.codeberg.page which enables direct peer-to-peer WebRTC connections between nostr users. Right now it's only for audio calls but there'll be instant messaging features too soon. Once the connection is established, peers send encrypted nostr events to each other without needing any relays.

#voistr v0.1.4 released. Opus audio encoding now uses 48khz stereo with FEC (forward error correction) by default. FEC uses a bit more bandwidth but improves audio quality when there's some packet loss. @npub1lcf…n6vm

Hello. I wrote a wrapper for a nostr relay (called ssnrelay) that publishes the relay's IP address as a pkarr domain record (doesn't use DNS). pkarr uses the mainline DHT (bittorrent's DHT). A nostr client i'm working on can resolve pkarr addresses to connect to such relays: https://pazstr.codeberg.page/features.html#pkarr-support
Your idea is interesting but since the relay has to push those IP address events to other relays that are only resolvable via DNS, you're still locked in DNS land. And the client will have to do step 2, which requires using DNS to connect to the relays which store the IP address events.

I think that nostr's most problematic technical flaw is that the "content" field in an event is a string, and not an object. Really bugs me. It's a serious limitation, and embedding stringified JSON like it's done for kind 0 events is inferior to having a native JSON object. I don't see any justification for using a simple string (although, sure, it makes things easy for simple events like short notes and reactions).
NIP-68 (picture events) really highlights this problem with these questionable "imeta" tags. Feels like the authors were like "hey where should we put this stuff ?". If "content" was an object, the content would contain a list of objects containing the url and dimension for each picture ... Is each picture's metadata stored in a imeta tag so that it can be queried with relay filters ? (like on the picture's "alt" description).
Nevermind though, i really like #nostr.

Really cool. In the nostr-follow-list readme it says that follow lists events are "parameterized replaceable events". Therefore a client that implements follow packs should track the list's UUID (d tag) and ignore older events with the same UUID i suppose ?

Awesome. In the did-nostr docs it mentions that there is a (discontinued) Rust implementation of did-nostr and links to this repo https://github.com/TBD54566975/did-nostr which is JS ... is the Rust implementation still available somewhere ? Thanks.

I wrote a Rust library (nostralink) to transform Nostr events to RDF (linked data) and to write events using JSON-LD. There's also a growing repository of SparQL queries to retrieve events from the RDF store. Need to add more docs.

I also live in Europe, and i hope that the EU will collapse one way or another under the weight of these warmongering technocrats. I remember that in Orwell's book the world is divided in 3 superstates, one of them being Eurasia, which was the result of the Soviet Union annexing continental Europe after a war ... and he wrote the book in 1949 !
