At first the idea seemed a bit strange to just sit in a call with people while each and everyone does their own stuff but it reminds me of going to cafés to dedicate some time for focussed work.
You're in company without having to engage in constant chatter. It doesn't feel like a business meeting because you don't need to (pretend to) pay attention all the time if you're in the zone. Everyone defaults to muting themselves. If someone needs/prefers some ASMR-like visual stimulation on the side, someone else can just share their screen while working - which in my case helped getting rid of the latent remains of imposter syndrome*.

Got my first 5 paying clients on my colo cluster in a little more than a month.
Now that my pain is slowly dwindling, I should have more time and energy to finally launch the cirumspace site to advertise my services.

Isn’t CCC basically the queer computing club by now? Most of what I see from them is dudes in dresses with plushies and pronoun-tags in public transport. They still believe that COVID was a real pandemic and probably still have a majority of participants masking up and getting double-poked annually.
Both talks by @npub1wmr…g240 recording’s have the lowest amount of views of all their published recordings of the entire event.
I’d say that entire group is basically captured and lost. (I was part of parts of the CCC crowd for a decade.)

My general feeling was that FOSDEM is too statist/left aligned and most of the folks I talked with who tried to get away from centralized networks fell into the Fediverse trap.

TIL, you can slim down Brave’s UI so much that even the vertical tab list is completely hidden until you hover over the spot where it usually resides. Wish I could hide the reload and < buttons as well but it seems the preferences aren’t exposing that.

Had some sudden throbbing right before I went to bed last night and it wasn't a pleasant night but at least there has been no bleeding or anything worse. Haven't sweated like such a pig in a long time though.
Feel worn out but a lot better than the last ~6 weeks with persistently uncomfortable to severely painful nerve pain that went from the tooth into the extremities. Honestly, it felt like I imagine demonic possession to feel like.
Let's hope I'm not gonna regret helping out my ex-neighbour to tear down some of his leftover stuff. I'm just lending a hand here and there so that should be alright. Lots of breaks.

Today I’m launching Hessible, a Nostr-native contacts app for Android.
Hessible syncs directly with Android’s local contacts store and backs up your contacts to a set of Nostr relays. Everything is NIP-44 encrypted before leaving your device, so there is no central provider or CardDAV server to run. Photos are encrypted first and then stored on Blossom servers.
Hessible supports searching for your nostr friends using their NIP-05 or npub and you can enrich already existing contacts with nostr metadata as well.
For durability, I recommend running either a paid, selfhosted or local relay (like Citrine, which will be autodetected!) so you don’t get surprise contact loss because all relays silently dropped old notes.

Shipped an update of Linkahest yesterday (not yet on Zapstore yet) to add health probes for instances hosting various alternative frontends for X/Reddit/YouTube because the main defaults kept on dying. But with most Nitter instances going dark after getting a C&D from X, it feels like this endeavour is no longer really worth it. Seems the few remaining instances are fighting a losing battle.
Reddit (powered by Redlib) is the most reliable one of the 3 but X/YT were often used by me more often and both are more aggressive in fighting what basically are scrapers.

The second it was confirmed that one of the 2 founders (not NVK but the other rat) shared a GPG key with the "pseudonymous" entity that launched libngu I lost all doubt that this was an inside job.
