Salvation, sanctification, etc. are mysteries that we get mere tastes and glimpses of, the fullness of which will only be revealed to the elect after being brought into the new heavens and new earth.
It's fun to unpack these ideas and test our own beliefs in order to know what we believe and why; however I'm sure that on that day we will all have been wrong about some aspect or another.

I know what he says. I also know what 1 Timothy 4:5 says about how giving thanks for food can also sanctify it in a similar manner.
Phil. 1:6 and 2:12-13 show that Paul himself has a separate bucket in his mind for sanctification being a Spirit-wrought process in tandem with continued faith.
I also know what Jesus said about the Pharisees' outward "sanctification" with no real inward sanctification in Matt. 23:27‑28.
Again, we are operating using two definitions of sanctification. Read also Matthew 7:22-23.

Sanctification (the process of making something holy; purification) is a cleansing, ongoing work done by the Holy Spirit throughout a Christian's life after salvation.
The Pharisees were sanctified outwardly, but Jesus recognized that they lacked inward sanctification, something that Jesus repeatedly was more concerned with than outward things.

In order for something to be a "crime" per se, there must be a victim of said crime.
We already have laws on the books for threats of violence, driving aggressively/wrecklessly, etc. Why then is there an additional law for driving at 0.08% BAC vs 0.07% BAC, when in neither case somebody has to have been harmed?
The logic is as follows: if the only victim of a crime is the state [the most successful mafia in history] who is also responsible for exacting punishment against you, has there really been a crime committed?
Common rebuttals often include, "Well DUI endangers others on the roadway..." to which I would say, isn't your sober operation of a motor vehicle on the roadway also endangering others? Wouldn't it be safer to only allow one vehicle at a time on each section of roadway? The "logic" falls apart if perceived safety is the absolute end goal.
I don't agree with DUI. I myself haven't been inebriated in about a decade, and I couldn't tell you the last time I had a drink. However, allowing the state to be the arbitrary morality police about BAC, plants in people's pockets, etc. is empowering them to claim victimhood against people who are otherwise causing harm to literally nobody.
That's the premise in a nutshell.
