I don't even know what that means. I only know that she had defenders of her forthcoming album cover art. I have also heard that she is one of the few female pop singers not adopted by the gay community (like Madonna, Brittney Spears, or Lady Gaga for example). So, does that mean her following is primarily white, upper middle-class females who want permission to like sex?

Growing up in the 80s around Southern California, I was unaware of this genocide. I think I first heard about it maybe 15 - 20 years ago. But thank you for your part in raising awareness about it.

It still blows my mind that in the 1990s when my family was selling the house in Lancaster to move to Oregon the number of buyers fell through because they found out that their next-door neighbors would be Black.

But I did spend most of my childhood in Southern California, but in the 1980s and peripheral to LA proper. So, like 70% or so white, maybe 25% Hispanic, a handful of Black children, and occasionally someone of East Asian heritage.

Most of my experience growing up was interacting with perhaps 90% of kids whose parents were non-immigrants. It has blown the mind of some folks on Twitch that I have never had Indian cuisine. My parents never went out of their way to expose us to that. Nor have I, but I'm also not a foodie.
