A friend said that they never had the feeling of being so useless before, like they hadn't done or contributed anything important in their life.
I reminded them how much they had selflessly helped me and so many others, how their friendship, empathy and generous spirit inspires me.
We don't always know what others see in the little things we do on a regular basis, just going about our daily lives, or how it may impact them in a positive way.
Contributing happens in many ways.

Threatening legal action to force Canada to order American booze? Really?
Here's the thing..
Liquor stores where I live can order and sell American products. There is no government prohibiting it.
So, when I asked one store owner if he would be ordering more, he said that it would be crazy for any business to spend money on inventory that their customers have made clear that they don't want to buy.
Free enterprise, supply and demand and all that.

I have seen a lot of doctors / specialists in the past month. Their reactions after reviewing my file have always been the same. 😲
It's a freaking miracle of improbable, perfectly timed situations that put me in the only place at the only time that could possibly have saved my life, and that it worked.
That's a lot to carry.

Twenty-eight days.
Today, it is exactly four weeks since I died.
Okay, maybe I didn't technically die, or maybe I did, I don't really know..
I do know that I did have a cardiac arrest and got CPR for three minutes before getting the defibrillator paddles twice and reawakening to a familiar, but somehow altered reality.
Waking up each day hits different now.

My internet provider phoned to give me a hard time for not paying my bill.
I apologized and explained that it was neither intentional or an oversight. I had been in hospital basically recovering from death.
The service agent then apologized to me and wished me well.
I still owed the penalty fees though. 😒

For those following along with my journey to the hospital almost two weeks ago, where I ended up having two cardiac arrests, and then to CICU care to help stabilize me well and long enough to get surgery today. .
Hi 👋
The noticeable improvement began immediately after surgery.
If everything checks out tomorrow, a three month recovery at home is ahead, but taking it somewhat easy is my thing.
Thank you for your support and encouraging thoughts during this wild ride back from the brink. 🤗
