It's not what I want or expected them to be spending my money on, so I'm withholding that money going forward. That could change in the future. There are already places to exchange shitcoins for sats. I want more and better bitcoin infrastructure.

What I'm saying is that "wise in this case" is not the same as "did it work out".
Firing a gun into a crowd is dangerous, whether or not you hit someone. How dangerous is a question for statisticians.
Where I would potentially agree with you is if it works out totally differently (doesn't look like it) and someone explains what factors they were looking at or what strategic changes they made to avoid all the bad outcomes of the past. Updating priors is definitely part of wisdom, but doing the same dumb reckless shit over and over until it works out is not (At least not necessarily. I can imagine cases where it would be).

A basketball player might get benched for taking a bad shot in a big game, even if the shot went in, especially if that player had a history of taking and missing bad shots and had assured his coaches that he would stop doing it.

The reason "No new wars" was a popular campaign talking point is that they tend to become disastrous and expensive. How any particular instance turns out is irrelevant to this being a violation of "No new wars".
Also, Iraq is the wrong standard to hold "No new wars" to. The "new wars" being referenced are all of Obama's wars of choice, which were much smaller scale than Iraq or Afghanistan. In that light, any intervention on par with Syria, Libya, Yemen, etc. is a violation of that pledge (if it was actually a pledge).

If people were justified to object to overthrowing the Libyan government, I don't see why they'd be inconsistent to raise concerns about this. These regime change operations have mostly been disastrous because of the downstream indirect consequences, not the direct toll of military conflict.
