Adding those eyelashes took me the entire day. That's because they should not change scale, but should deform with the eye when displaying any emotion and they should close when the eye is blinking, but again, without changing scale. And nothing is hardcoded, I'll be able to change all the textures #gamedev #indiedev

I was missing a way to go from 🙂 to 😂 for instance. Extreme display of emotions.
I fixed this! I can now create multiple animations for each emotion, for instance, from 70% onward here, enjoyment adds some giggle movement, and anger adds some eyebrow twitching. #indiedev #gamedev #godot

🥳 I finally have a working version of my concept.
Each component is animated based on emotion values.
I group components to apply the same emotions to them, or a blend of the group's and the component's emotion values.
I then animate everything by only changing the emotion values #Gamedev #godot

Okay, it's just a start for eyebrows, I'm experimenting. I'm using three different sliders and I should be able to make all expressions, but I might have to add a way to exaggerate expressions a bit since I aim for a more cartoony look.

You might now that x + sin(x) makes for a nice curve that follows x but slows down periodically. But did you know you can use it recursively to slow down for longer 😅

I modeled, rigged, and posed this today. It's something that would have taken me at least a week back then 🥳 The weight paint step is still a painful step 😅!

They need to use another name for "DLSS 5" it is not the same technology as DLSS, it's not a new version of DLSS. DLSS is a good idea and it would be a tragedy to lose it and only have an AI slop generator in its place.
Find a new name for your ai slop generator, and then cancel it.

A technology from NVdia that uses a low resolution as a basis and do interpolation to create new pixels based on a model. This makes the GPU able to render more frame with similar visual results to native rendering. It does not reinvent the base picture, (so called "DLSS5" does)

The new DLSS5 is ground breaking! It's as if the artistic intent was entirely discarded. It's not a technological achievement, it's a cultural tragedy. F*ck this. It's sad because it's destroying the DLSS brand which was a nice technology.

It feels really weird to change a tool after such a long time using it (something like 13 years at this point with the old tablet) But everyone seem to agree that bigger tablets are better, I might have to try to make it work.

I have a new drawing tablet, got it second hand at only 20 euros.
But I was used to my 14 years old small wacom.
The new one is more than double the active surface and it feels kind of weird to me. I don't like having to make giant movements to reach all places on my screen. Maybe I need to get used to it. What do you think? #digitalart #artists
