The movie that divided the Philippines more deeply. To this very day, there is no clear evidence if General Emilio Aguinaldo did order the assassination of General Apolinario Mabini and Gat Andres Bonifacio, which is a thorn to all the Aguinaldo clan. At the same time, it is not clear if former President Manuel L. Quezon was indeed guilty of the accusations thrown at him.
Both clans, Aguinaldo and Quezon, are denying the accusations about their forefathers, leaving the Filipino people divided to this day. Were the accusations against Aguinaldo just a smear campaign by Quezon? Were the accusations against Quezon simply an attempt to blame him for the current political situation in the Philippines?
No one will ever know the truth.

Do you know why I keep on watching this? I can't predict the stories of each character. If you've watched and read a lot stories, as well as studied creative writing (not to mention if you came from a clan of writers), you can predict plots, twists, and even dialogues; because of it, stories need to have something to keep you hooked, and one such is it should be less predictable.
That's problematic because stories come from our experiences, things we've seen, heard, read, watched, and even those that we subconsciously absorbed throughout our lives. In other words, nothing is new under the sun.
A work such as this being very unpredictable is rare.

I wish it was a 16-episode series because as it is, there was not much "meat". It is only like a children's version of 《The Last Empress》, another fictional and alternate reality Korea where the Monarchy was continous and Korea was never split.
Beyond that, it was still a fun watch. Their acting matched their characters and dialogues, and their love story—or stories, plural—is everyone's fantasy.
