And, it's one thing to fire a federal employee whose openly cheering an assassination, because that's immoral, reprehensible, and a sign of poor character. It's quite another to label them as "domestic terrorists" which, starting under Obama, means that they can be indefinitely detained without habeas corpus rights or due process.

It's the best there is for what it does. I really don't know another. But ADSB wasn't created for the purposes of tracking aircraft from origin to destination, so its going to have periods where the aircraft simply isn't being monitored by a station connected to the interwebs. ADSB sends a signal out from the aircraft with its tail number, altitude, heading, and speed. If the plane is out away from the population, it may not be seen on the net, even if other planes near its location can see it on their ADSB receiver.

ADSB isn't "radar." It isn't illegal to turn it off. And, flight aware isn't the best at tracking planes. It will have periods like this, especially out where ATC may not have receiving stations to monitor the ADSB.
