Maybe could be worth posting both, one as a reply to the other. Issues with the four separate panels:
– Panels gets cropped on default Mastodon so it doesn’t look that good and text/scene isn’t all visible
– Cannot be read at once on desktop, requires clicking around at least 4 times, an incentive to scroll past
– Harder to reshare easily (if that’s a goal) / no credits or licence (that can be fixed)
I see how it’s better for mobile. Also fit for Pixelfed and similar!

In design, usually a “workshop”, it’s probably the most generic name. Same in arts I think.
For games there’s “jam”, for comics “24-hour comic days”, a lot of others have that time in the name, “48-hour short film contest” or something.

So many useful ideas! Some of those I had in my mental Illustrator wishlist, others are great thoughts! I agree that a custom specialized software would be neat, still it could be nice to open some of those as suggestions for Inkscape for instance, in case they want to pick it up? Could be nice to have some of those implemented in a general tool.

Looks good, very gnome-like! Little bugs with the header: it misses padding on small screens, and is aligned left instead of center on large screens.

I’ve bookmarked this one the other day, haven’t tried yet: https://www.getgrist.com (but now it says about an “AI assistant” 😬). Otherwise been using OnlyOffice?
Edit: realise this isn’t really an answer to “good” since it misses serious experience, but maybe that’s still useful directions to try…

Yes @[email protected] is better. Maybe @[email protected] would even make more sense in most cases, but I can see how it would break for some clever domains. Or maybe CMSes could start having a “Site ID” variable (in a field under “Site name” on initial set-up, pre-generated from the site name) and then using that as a default @ for Fediverse… Just thinking out loud :)

Is “feed” the default name of fediverse accounts on Ghost? It’s going to be confusing if we start having many different @npub1pqp…kk9u (at least in clients such as Mastodon Web which doesn’t show the server name inline). Maybe it should be the name of the media by default?

Do they get the icon from the original server, or is it a pre-made list of server types that the client has internally, do you know?

Totally, I often feel I need to know too! I’d be great for servers to send with each profile some metadata with the name and the icon of the server software. In Mastodon, it could easily be displayed on the contact preview card that appears when you hover a username? Is that too much complexity to add for most users, and would be confusing? Or perhaps, it’s nice to resurface the info and remind that there are a lot of different networks here?
