the tl;dr is that luddites were largely skilled weavers who were suddenly out of a job with the advent of industrialization. machines made the looms they used, which were a skilled trade, largely obsolete. said luddites were then replaced by the 1810s equivalent of wagies, and expected to either take said massive paycut, or to pound sand.
they acted accordingly, destroying said machines that cost them a job. they largely failed because the capitalists were backed by the state, as always.

i am religious and spiritual surprisingly.
i just find religious organizations, covens, and cults to me as same thing —with different connotations.
i have more hangups with organizations over spiritual texts because ultimately they'll twist the texts to suit their purposes. while we as people are often no better, we still have the ability to both think for yourself and to ask for guidence if need be. to me that also means the morals are subjective, and that it is ultimately more important to have your own takeaway, and to talk about things openly.

i cant really comment on appeals to morality bc i worry id be a hypocrite (i do appeal to morals a lot because i want to see people be kinder to one another. this is also why i am against fascists bc it wants certain people to be cruel with impunity). i just am at a point where i realize morals are subjective, and ultimately people will do whatever to justify things that meet their moral compass. it often feels like a moot point on the internet, even when there are ultimately things that most people will agree with morally

the industrial revolution is a double edged sword, but the issues stem from capitalism and not the act of industrialization in itself.
our value being intrinsicly tied to capital and meaningless labor is the problem. these actions stem from the much earlier neolithic revolution too.
at the very least it obsoleted divine right post WWI, but it replaced it with something only marginally better (the right to rule by capital)

most of what i was using were nicer unsaturated fats (extra virgin olive oil), and butter. i dont use much seed oils outside of coating a pan in vegetable oil (due to its high smoke point) with just enough to thinly coat the pan and nothing more, to panfry a steak (that is mostly basting in butter). main saturated fat i have is butter (and id use stick butter over spread, but im often limited towards lower grade butter due to tight budget (most of my want expenses are on credit, of which i buy about 100$ worth of credit a month and pay it off)

to me a job having a purpose (and i should have clarified this better, though i was trying to not hog the soapbox) was that labor should benefit both you and your community/friends/everybody. to me a system is not worth fighting for unless everybody makes it.
if labor was tied to strictly beneficial tasks, there would be far less hours in the work week, along with far less jobs being available. somebodys still gotta do em, but i dont have all the answers
im fairly certain this point is brought up by marx where capitalists strive to make the work more efficient so that the laborers can have greater output, but eventually these machines will become so efficient that the job becomes obsolete.

i dont consider myself antiwork, but i am anti capitalism (shocker ik). id rather work for my own benefit (or the benefit of a collective community), over the benefit of a bunch of rich assholes
like id rather do something like cook and forage for a commune, doing handy work. something that is both fufiling, simple, and beneficial. amassing real resources.
by cook/forage this also includes hunting and fishing. work to me is only fufiling if i see an actual benefit from it. i dont think many would be "antiwork" if most jobs had a purpose
