Post actually good Sega gave me Project Diva and for that I am grateful albeit it was not developed internally and Miku is obviously not a Sega invention.
Sonic Mania was a fluke. They couldn't even keep those guys on lock to pump out 10 more of those games, that's a colossal failure in itself.

square pumps out quite a number of new games, honestly. As far as sequels to previously dormant IPs go they had TWEWY 2, and they're even making a brand new Mana game. I think the (lazy, bad) Chrono Cross remaster was probably their way to test interest in the IP but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
