I mean I simply thought about it in terms of who was allowed to fight and who wasn't.
Thinking of women as merely delicate and to be homemakers has been the misogynistic way of thinking.
I guess what I was getting at is it is suggesting that women played an equal role in their culture.
Though you may be right about it being a metaphor, but showing how a pregnant woman can be portrayed as a brave warrior back then should signify something possibly good was lost

yeah... somehow I think that these blatant displays of holding up rich people and possible acts of "philanthropy" to produce memorials when the most vulnerable don't have their needs met is foolishness and only serves to satisfy conservatives who enjoy capitalism.
