I don't like calling it a disease, but it is a mental condition. You can't cure a disease through talk therapy and support groups.
"Disease" doesn't mean anything anymore. The term used to imply some kind of external agents like a virus or bacteria. It's been expanded to include anything wrong with you, including stupid shit you did to yourself like "cardiovascular disease".

I think it depends on intent.
If it was laziness ("screw there people, I'm not dragging myself and this baby out of this pew"), social anxiety about being disruptive ("what's the quickest way to quiet the baby") those might reflect poor intentions.
If it was a choice about being deliberately mindful and present for the sermon (if one can be mindful and present while nursing) then I think it's appropriate.
Unfortunately, we don't know her intentions.

That's gotta be frustrating, putting your trust in not only the facility but also the doctors to do what is best for your loved ones and then finding out neither are really doing that.
Thanks for sharing. My brother and I are looking at a place for my folks. Will add this to the list of questions to ask and problems to keep an eye out for.
My mother is on anxiety drugs "as needed". I could see a facility just giving them to her on a schedule to make their life easier.

For some reason, masking tape is sufficient to prevent someone from accidentally turning off the furnace.
My father says he didn't put that tape there. So logically, it must have been there before they moved into the house in 1999. That is clearly not 25 year old tape.

I liked the first season, but when EVERYONE became a hero, it got old. I could buy into the Martian Manhunter character, but when every supporting character got super powers or super gear, I gave up. When EVERYONE is super, the main character becomes less interesting. And if the writers can create interesting characters without making them minor dieties, they don't deserve the job.

Can any medical professionals or paras out there tell me how to disassociate from the reality of dealing with my eighty-something parents and all their medical issues.
I'm not talking about shutting them out of denying them empathy or support. I mean how do I stop it from wearing me down. I've been at it 24 hours a day for almost three weeks and I'm not sure I can deal with it much longer.
We're starting conversations about care facilities but I'm not sure I will last that long.

Someone posted a link about Google taking Android closed source. I didn't read / watch yet, but I was pondering it over night and I don't think this is 100% bad.
1) while I've not used OSS forks they seem viable.
2) more and more of what Google has been doing the last few years is about security through control off the platform. Android started off as a hackable OS and it's become less so as time goes by.
The only challenge will be hardware that the OSS forks can run on.

Custom drawers installed in a cabinet carcass recovered a bathroom remodel over the summer. Now I just need to get the frames and drawers installed in its twin.
Then install them in the pantry.
And then build a counter on top of them.
And then install floating shelves above them.
