Thanks! There are other tools you can take advantage of using the S-Corp such as paying yourself a W-2 wage (with payroll taxes being less than self-employment taxes) and contributing to retirement accounts all while lowering the business’ ordinary income that flows to you.

It could definitely be beneficial to switch to an S-Corp to avoid the 21% corporate tax. Since an S-Corp is a pass-through entity, short-term capital gains will flow through to your personal return and be taxed at your ordinary income rate on your Form 1040. All things considered, this can still result in a lower overall tax burden.
With a C-Corp, profits are taxed at 21%, and if you pay yourself dividends, those are taxed again at your individual rate — resulting in double taxation. So the C-Corp setup can sometimes be less than ideal. It also depends on how many and what types of shareholders you want the corporation to have. S-Corps have limitations in that regard.

As we round the corner on the April 15th tax deadline, I wanted to take a moment to share some trends I’m seeing among our clients:
• Taxpayers opting to put their IRS balances due April 15th on a payment plan (currently ~7% interest) to free up cash for buying more Bitcoin
• Taxpayers selling their rental properties and businesses to acquire more Bitcoin
• Taxpayers liquidating their precious metals and other collectibles to acquire more Bitcoin
• Taxpayers making charitable contributions to Donor-Advised Funds to avoid capital gains and receive larger itemized deductions
• Taxpayers with substantial 1099 income forming S-Corporations, paying themselves a W-2 wage (with payroll taxes lower than self-employment taxes), and contributing to self-directed IRAs and Solo 401(k)s to acquire more Bitcoin
• Taxpayers harvesting capital gains or losses, taking advantage of the fact that Bitcoin is not subject to wash sale rules

Even though I still struggle to wrap my head around all aspects of what’s going on, what I find revolutionary is that he has effectively become a vampire—latching onto the bond market by leveraging fiat credit markets to extract liquidity and convert it into Bitcoin.
He is alchemizing soft money into hard money by siphoning trillions of dollars from the bond market and transforming it into Bitcoin exposure.
I still don’t believe he’s entirely immune to blowing up somehow, but the next few years will be very interesting to watch unfold.
