I'm also very concerned and worried about the future of Android and using FOSS apps. Almost all my apps are from FDroid, Accrescent, directly from the Git repo, etc. I feel very uneasy if all these apps are no longer available.

I have been looking at different small web directories lately and joined a few (some pending).

My blog is selected for the day today! 🥰
I realized my Hugo theme switcher (which came with the theme I used) uses JS. I had to fix a bit of code to get the theme to look right with JS off (which is what happens I think when the site is being presented in an iframe.)

Exactly.... Max is a real threat with his latest run in current form. The last two tracks are more suited to Oscar's driving style as well, so there's a chance there too if he can make two recovery drives like his earlier form in the season.... Me too. I wonder what it'll be like without DRS and all the new rules. I love the Williams gang too! And I can't wait to see Bottas back on the grid. Do you play F1 fantasy too?

If only I made the same choices in my Team 1 as my Team 3!!!! I guess almost everybody got burned by the Mclaren double DSQ. My Team 1: VER(x2), RUS, GAS, LAW, BEA + MCL, MER only got 192 points.

I'm a #mechanicalkeyboard fan, currently using the Owlab Spring Alice layout keyboard and I really like it. But I've always wanted to try a split keyboard like the #zsavoyager, with mounting options, tenting, etc.
Came across curved ones like the Glove80 while researching, and this #Kickstarter project for stem risers or what they call tilters. I can't wait to try out this concave shape keycap setup! Anyone else here swears by the #Glove80 or equivalent?

I've been a forever user of Nova but ever since Branch took over I tried so many to fill the void. The nearest thing I could find is Pear Launcher, been using it for months now. It's not Nova; but it's good enough for now without completely changing styles (eg going full minimal / text based). My two cents.

The SSH pipe stopped working, I couldn't get back in despite trying multiple times. Then I took out the cable and plugged it into the monitor but no display signals. So I tried plugging in a keyboard and blindly typing shutdown commands but also it didn't respond at all.... So I had no choice than to pull the plug. It happened a few times. 😟

My #RaspberryPi 4B is acting up and I think it's data corruption(?) from not powering off properly when it stopped responding. I really need to buy a switch to shutdown safely...
I formatted the SSD (SMART status seems ok), flashed the latest #DietPi and slowly setting back my services.
This is a great chance for me to actually sort out the messy initial setup of experimenting with #SelfHosting I'm in the process of setting up a #cron job with #rsync, #syncthing & dietpi-backup now. 🤞#Rpi4

oh that's still quite chonky, is that using normal Cherry switches? 65% is my favourite though... I've seen mechanical switches that are low-profile but I've not tried those. Have you? Maybe at the next annual computer show I'll try those low-profile ones out. I think that's a few weeks from now!

I just came across this Kickstarter project from Argon Forty (the guys who makes those neat #RaspberryPi cases):

Lots of "firsts" this week for me:
1. Completed pull requests on 3 projects & got them all merged! Esp proud of the #retext #markdown editor syntax highlighting fix.
2. Joined a web-ring (if you could call it that?) community—#512kbclub by @npub1080…cr2f!
In the end I got it down to 499kB. MonaspaceVar font taking up a good 100kB+ chunk of the uncompressed total. I need to find a spot to put the club badge! Excited :)
3. Bought an official #nanoblock #ultraman 200pc (only had knockoffs before).

Did some maintenance work on my #Hugo #blog just now: combined all css into one bundle using a bundle-resource partial, trimmed out whitespace in <head> (looks much neater now) and removed fontawesome.
The number of requests is down and I feel the page loads way snappier (I could be biased lol). I just realise aliases in Hugo creates a lot of extra folders/files in /public. Once I check there's no new incoming traffic from those I'll delete it?

Reviewed my new planner of choice for 2025 - the MARK's EDiT weekly notes layout from Japan. I've used Hobonichi, Nolty, Midori and the like; and I have a good feeling for Marks esp how it passed my fountain pen test. ;)
What's your planner setup? I still enjoy paper planners / diaries a lot despite having most of my things digitized. Analogue for the win!
