Not gonna lie, seeing the icons of these toxic, predatory platforms used over one of the symbols of the Fediverse sent a chill down my spine and made me nauseous. On the upside, it could make people realize why the Fediverse is amazing and the future of social (« imagine if… ») for people not familiar with it

My then boyfriend (now husband) took this pic of me during a summer holiday in Belle Île, Brittany. I distinctly remember having to walk through thorny bushes to get to this gorgeous spot. So worth it for the magnificent view!

One of my favorite spots in Como: the public gardens behind the Tempio Voltiano. (Fun fact: I went to high school in Como).
And completely unrelated, but profuse apologies if you left me a comment on my previous photo and I didn't reply. I'm self-hosting this Pixelfed instance and I have some problems with federation / notifications coming through 😅

Hello Pixelfed community!
This is the first post from my self-hosted instance. A blast from the past: a photo from January 2015 (10 years ago!) showing me in my old apartment, holding a #Lomo Lubitel 166. My right arm has the temporary tattoo (from Tattly) with the message "Stop and smell the roses" – which is solid advice, each and every day.
