Not easy to ' recommend' a hosting platform because you typically don't switch from hosting platform A to hosting platform B every other 2 weeks. Therefore experience of a hosting platform is relatively biased.
We currently use Acast.com for hosting several podcasts . It seems like a good value for money when you've got it setup correctly; it also has a lot of co-operations with other platforms which is nice.
I also hear good things about podhome.fm ; which seems a bit more bitcoin'er friendly with Value4Value built in as a feature.

Working on setting up an own relay. @npub1s6z…wk4c got me inspired to do just that. if you're not having your own relay, you still don't own your data, true??
And I get that it isn't for everyone (yet) therefore (paid) community relays (Like @npub1p6x…h0rm Noderunners relay) are a good second best. Interesting where this is heading to.

Just curious. Why are you using a @primal.net nip05 and not for instance lynalden.com - primal could be seen as centralized out of your control while for instance [email protected] would be totally controlled by yourself.

So should the tech improve so it can be easier?
Or should people be more knowlageble about how to running a Lightning Node.
Another question: Will it ever come that "anyone" can run -and manage- their own lightning node, or will we always be dependant on custodians?

Scams tegengaan; Mensen voor oplichting bewaren; dat is ons doel bij Bitcoin School! We kregen deze screenshot doorgestuurd van een luisteraar. Hij had geen iPhone en zat niet in Duitsland en vroeg wat hij moest doen. #oplichting

Ons vermoeden: Als je naar de site gaat die benoemd wordt, kom je op een website, die eruit ziet zoals de site van Bitvavo. In werkelijkheid is dit niet de site van Bitvavo, maar van scammers. Scammers proberen zo op slinkse wijze persoonsgegevens te bemachtigen.
En jawel hoor; als je naar de site gaat krijg je deze pagina te zien met de exacte branding van Bitvavo, waarop staat dat je je toestellen moet 'controleren'

Klik je op de knop "ID - Aanvragen" dan moet je je gegevens achterlaten.
Een duidelijke scam om je gegevens te stelen. Heb je je gegevens in zo'n formulier ingevuld; dan kan je een telefoontje van 'Bitvavo' (de scammers) verwachten.
Scammers praten je dan in een heel mooi lijkend verhaal om je bitcoin nóg beter te 'beveiligen'. In werkelijkheid proberen ze je crypto/bitcoin te stelen.
Let goed welke gegevens je over jezelf prijsgeeft!

Thanks! We use DaVinci Resolve for editing. We're going to change it to 480p to start with for now and I'll search for the 'best' settings and will look for a good combination between file size and quality!

To be clear: I haven't bought a subscription to nostr.build (yet) and I'm not complaining. Just trying to get value out of this protocol and am searching for effective opportunities.
I know stuff on #nostr isn't always really like we want it to be, and that's totally okey. Well get there together. Just searching for a good balance in usability, quality & costs.

We could get some more information how to share this natively on #nostr. The video is almost 30 minutes long and almost 6GB in size.
I really would like to place this natively on #nostr but zap.steam didn't work for me and with nostr.build I'm afraid I'm way too fast through my subscription (nostr.build could host 5 video's for us in this resolution)
What to do? Smaller resolution? Not posting it on #nostr. I'd like some feedback.

That would be great! The problem is that X's algorithms aren't transparent. On #nostr the Algo can be transparant and should even be changeable..
I like to see video editing content now -> switching to video edit content
I like to see Bitcoin podcasts now -> switching to bitcoin podcast content...
That should be in the algorithms.
