Trezor has done it very well, then disabled the feature when zkSNACKs sunset the coordinator. I’ve revived that feature on my Wasabi Wallet branch, waiting for review hoping for the next 2.X release in Wasabi.

Bitcoin Core is not a single entity, but many different developers that try their best to keep this pile of spaghetti code from Satoshi running. Including the OP_Return solution Satoshi made for arbitrary data that needs no validation checks (cpu cycles in IBD)

I use the scientific method and prefer random data goes into OP_RETURNs over address/public keys which bloat the UTXO set. We can’t prevent embedding arbitrary data AND keep censorship resistance in Bitcoin.

A TUI that wraps the Wasabi Wallet headless daemon (helps you start running it too) in python. It includes advanced Scheme features and has multi-wallet automation (e.g. to do auto-coinjoin in hot wallets to cold wallets on threshold basis). Try it out if you like living in the terminal like a shadowy super coder!
