Across the globe, mass surveillance has increased at in exponential rate the likes of which Napoleon (not the French revolutionary you're thinking of) would have never even envisioned. What's more tragic is a country that pretends to be the heroes of freedom/democracy whilst harming the lives of millions through every avenue: Finance, Technology, Science, Military, Aviation and Legal are but a few industries that promote the lie of benefitting society. They participate in the surveillance regime by allowing the state to decide the rules without proper consensus of the precarious living (people with no power). It is morally abhorrent to witness those who choose to be mere spectators of their own destruction.
