I don't know what percentage of what goes where necessarily but I do know that we're huge on corporate subsidiaries and also infinite money to defense contractors. Also, our government is so hugely corrupt all the way down to state and local levels in schemes with construction companies and stuff. I am not opposed to taxes in principle nor would I be opposed to or unhappy about paying my taxes if I was consistently seeing public services and infrastructure *working* and being maintained and functioning efficiently. By design. And, by design, only on a small subset of issues (e.g. "abortion rights"). The same oligarchic entities will remain in power, though. The same dominant ideology will remain enforced. We're going to invade the same countries no matter what. We're going to make the same geopolitical and economic policies regardless. The real agendas are protected from any criticism or question or push-back because we're encouraged to bicker about dumb shit like transgender bathroom access or whatever the fuck the hot ticket item of the day is.
