It's about 30 mins drive to Helsinki from home.

Lost over a thousand euros on processing fees and translations and getting special documents made because they don't exist

Then, halfway through, a rather important load-bearing part of my shoulder rest snapped
Never had a shoulder rest break on me in 20+ years, but today it happened, during a gig
I was kind of done at that point so called it a night

I think it was a blessing in disguise for us that Covid forced us to reduce our guest list to less than 10 people. It was a very special day but it flies by so quickly 😅
I recouped some costs after the wedding by selling my dress and accessories. My husband's outfit was rented
We actually worked with planners who got us low prices on things that should have cost a lot more. They were a new business and definitely undercharged us
A fair bit of money came in from guests and people who couldn't attend
And we DIYed a lot of things—we got a friend to buy our booze for cheap abroad and bring it back by car
So somehow it all worked out in the end

My husband is in the security business—he knows about things like alarm systems, cameras, access controls, fire safety, and ejecting miscreants 😂
He's great with people—he is well-liked friends among colleagues and customers (just not HR apparently)
And he's a good salesperson
He's a dependable workhorse and all-round good person
There should be something good out there for someone like him, right?
