## Why the “victor’s narrative” argument falls short
It is fair to say the Allied powers controlled the postwar legal process, but that does not make the evidence invented. Much of the record came from German-created documents and material seized during and after the war, which were then used in the Nuremberg proceedings and later archival research.

The U.S. National Archives states that it holds millions of records documenting Nazi war crimes and that captured German records were used as evidence at Nuremberg. It also preserves records relating to concentration camps and war-crimes trials.
