Gran Canaria currently hosts 11 active merchants mapped across the island. The infrastructure is splitting beautifully into two distinct hubs:
• North (Las Palmas area): 8 active merchants forming a tight network.
• South (San Bartolomé de Tirajana area): 3 active merchants.

Shout-out to tools like @nprofile…nexv for making it so easy to find physical merchants—it's essentially the Google Maps of the Bitcoin economy. 🗺️🔍
But it would be a game-changer if we could do the exact same thing natively right here on Nostr. Imagine being able to search the protocol not just by a username, but instantly filtering by business type, jurisdiction, products, or services.
Great initiatives like @nprofile…y308 and @nprofile…mcdw are already laying incredible groundwork for local adoption. If we can back that up with native protocol discovery tools, finding and supporting each other's sovereign businesses will become completely effortless. ⚡️🙌
I have not really any friends and family which is in BTC anymore. They all moved on to Monero for many reasons. But also I have not a single messenger app where I can send fiat, also no need for that.
I like keeping in contact with other plebs and I'm always trying to get friends and family into Bitcoin. Nostr DMs are so shit for the former and the latter is always a challenge.
This bridges two gaps for me personally:
1. I can chat with my fellow Bitcoiners securely and reliably
2. Since most of my friends and fam already use Signal it's a perfect way to introduce them to Bitcoin Lightning and show them how easy it is.
Number two is especially strong if I just point them to @nprofile…hf7c as well.
Literally it's "yo I can send you Bitcoin just as easily as sending fiat on other messaging apps and you can go into the real world and actually spend it."
This can seriously be so powerful for adoption. No need to tell your normie friends they have to set up a wallet and explaining how everything works. Just being able to send it on a Signal chat.
I'm seriously so psyched for this.

Dejo mi comentario y promociono aquellos donde me trataron bien, dejo un aviso si alguno dejó de aceptar. Animo a todos a hacer lo mismo para facilitar que otros bitcoiners acudan a ellos y/o se anuncien.
Seamos la minoría intransigente, hagamos que bitcoin se convierta en "dinero", luchemos para que sea más difícil de fiscalizar. Tenemos herramientas increíbles ya a nuestra disposición para crear estructuras paralelas aunque estemos muy dispersos, empujemos de este lado para que los incentivos se alineen aunque la batalla regulatoria se endurezca. Cada acción cuenta.
