I store value wherever I want. But in general I prefer it to be private above all. And so do investors in Gold ($20T+ despite 2% inflation) and offshore banks ($40T+ despite 5% inflation p.a.)
Bitcoin outperformed Monero in the first two years where Monero got heavily fractionally reserved on Binance, the leading exchange. Congratulations to maxis that never asked themselves how it could have been that every shitcoin multiplied by x10 while Monero was kept down not even reaching a new ATH (the only one).
Then it got delisted, liquidity killed off, still it recovered handsomely and is now stronger than ever, with actual market demand aka price floor which ironically makes it a better store of value than TradFi BTC ETFs.

There exist people who are not motivated by money but rather by ideals and principles. There aren't many of them but they do exist. As moneyed interests try to buy these principled individuals off, invariably they will fail. For the big money is up against something that big money does not, and can never, understand.
Beware though, that the moneyed class do have something up their sleeve. Even though the incorruptible cannot be bought, they nevertheless still need food, shelter...etc, in order to live. So, what the ruling class (essentially the moneyed class) do is they ruin the economy so badly (which is very easy for them to achieve since they possess the levers of finances), that these people who are normally only motivated by principles, have no idea but to bow their knees, just to survive. And this is a key reason why the ruling elites tell the government which they control to let in so many immigrants. More immigrants means more people battling for scarce jobs, this displaces the incorruptible, forcing them to give up on their principles and ideals, just to live.

I've got a MS400c chainsaw motor that was running straight fuel (no oil) & has lost compression. That's my next project after the bike & will complete my dive into small engines. It'll probably need a new cam & piston as well as a carb clean.
I've put off learning this stuff for over a decade but I can see how useful this knowledge is now.
