It's not that Bitcoin backed loans are necessarily bad. The simple fact is most people who sell goods and services are fiat maxis so they everyone needs some form of fiat.
We just need a way to prevent fractional reserve lending (A.K.A. rehypothication)
I'm not saying LEDN is doing this, but I find technological solutions fascinating. Cashu has some interesting ways of approaching this that are too early to use, but look promising.
I also think fiat backed by sats on the lightning network is an interestibg idea.
Imagine if a Treasury company had 20% of their stack in such a product. Instead of "selling low" to perform financial wizardry, the could pay the 11% dividends or whatever based on the 20% stablecoin stack. They can even pay with stablecou did they wanted to.
Of course, this does not eliminate counterparty risk or 6102 confiscation. It also would require some sort of proof of reserves.
