Соучредитель Runestone Леонидас представил DOG Mode — клиент с открытым исходным кодом, призванный изменить обработку нефинансовых данных в сети Bitcoin. Разработка обходит ограничения BIP 110, увеличивая вес транзакций почти в 10 раз.
DOG Mode снижает «лимит пыли» с 294–546 до 1 сатоши, потенциально высвобождая около 25 млн долларов в неактивных средствах. В отличие от BIP 110, требующего поддержки 55% майнеров, DOG Mode работает на уровне индивидуальных узлов, не требуя глобального консенсуса. Этот подход может создать параллельный стандарт обработки транзакций, определяемый пользователями, а не только майнерами.
