Mostly because nobody has desktops anymore. None of my non-tech close friends have a PC or laptop at home.
Them: "I want to do an android app"
Me: "Great what.."
Them: "... using Rust"
Me: "lol. It's not going to work. I guarantee it."
😂
sometimes when I get AI to improve my nostr note i tell it, "it's too perfect. be more human!"

Why would that be unsafe?
SO I TOOK MY OWN ADVICE AND WENT OUTSIDE. MADE A FREN. https://npub1nxa4tywfz9nqp7z9zp7nr7d4nchhclsf58lcqt5y782rmf2hefjquaa6q8.blossom.band/4dd2224342386526d63c53d585e30977fe2583c63e7960c4d8c901407c4b524d.jpg
The Supra cycle
The bitcoin price prediction model I made up in 2023 by drawing a line on the chart
Turned out to be more accurate than anything Saylor, BlackRock, Wall Street analysts & reserve company shills produced with millions of dollars in research & marketing

Thanks! I probably could produce for others, but I am so busy with my own work that I don’t have time to do anything else 😅
It did help me improve some stuff, yes.
Then this is not going to be for you. You either have the need for a full node and willing to pay for it or you don't. Either way is fine.
I am not doing an SPV at all. That's why I am going full node. No backend besides other Bitcoin nodes and maybe some gossip providers if that becomes too much.
Anyone needing a Bitcoin node on the go seriously.
So that we can provide node data to other apps. But yes, it would be a lot easier to do an headers-only SPV-like app for a single, simple wallet as well.
Bear markets are like discipline. Hurts while you're in the middle of it, but pays off in the long run.
Verify locally on the phone. I just need a simply way to listen to the gossip without too much back and forth. Everything else is local.
Yeah... That was almost good :)
I am not using bitcoind, and neither lnd nor cln. App on Android can talk via content providers and other Android-native ways of doing it.
There were many ugly ones in the early days. I used to run full nodes on my phone too. They worked. They were just unsafe or ugly as hell.
Mista @npub1ehk…mz4s Sir Falang Sir, please have do report for booty
Yeah, I am thinking Bitcoin only for now in this Bitcoin node idea. Then a lightning node app can use the Bitcoin node information from it if needed.
Are you talking lightning pathfinding or Bitcoin node pathfinding?
Potentially lsp, maybe a nostr-based gossip ;)
Correct. But we don't need persistent gossip uptime, we need mobile first uptimes.
True. That's why most of these desktop-first node projects will never run on mobile.
If I was a Fed, my wet dream would be an app that gives me a list of bitcoiners, their locations, and who they go to meetups with…
If I was a criminal, I’d love an app that lets me identify potential targets for $5 wrench attacks near me…
Stay safe out there, friends.

That's why need a better DB to match Androids needs. Flagships now offer 1TB disk that will be more than enough for a while. Budget phones will catch up.
Every now and then, I feel a strong call to build a beautiful but very simple (receive/send, single key), ultra-secure (dice rolls only), full UTXO (750GB) Android Bitcoin Node app that doubles as a content provider for other apps on the phone...
Arti-Tor + libbitcoinkernel + floresta-chain and floresta-wire pow proofs to kick-start while full sync is going. Limited inbound connections, but always running full mempool to validate unconfirmed transactions and get notifications in an Android-native DB.
2 years, 3 people-team, ~3M in funding with audits.
Maybe one day...
You need one more box above the top one dated 1962.

How Pineapple Pizza Destroyed The Global Economy
Chatham, Ontario, 1962
In what historians now cautiously refer to as “the moment things started going wrong,” Sam Panopoulos (a Greek-born Canadian restaurateur) placed canned pineapple on a pizza at his restaurant in Chatham, Ontario. The dish, later known as Hawaiian Pizza, was reportedly created as an experiment to see whether sweet and savoury flavours could coexist. Markets would soon conduct their own experiment.
Within months of the pizza’s debut, the global economy began exhibiting symptoms.
→ The Kennedy Slide (1962)
The U.S. stock market plunged nearly 27% between March and June, the steepest drop since the Great Depression. Analysts blamed overvaluation, investor panic, and — unofficially — a disturbance in the natural order of food.
→ The British Balance-of-Payments Crisis
The United Kingdom found itself struggling with persistent trade deficits. Economists at the time insisted the issue was structural. Critics argued the real problem began when someone, somewhere, allowed fruit near molten cheese.
→ The Cuban Missile Crisis
Markets worldwide froze as the United States and Soviet Union approached nuclear confrontation. Investors reportedly stockpiled canned goods — including the very ingredient responsible for the controversial pizza.
→ The U.S. Steel Price Conflict (1963)
President Kennedy publicly clashed with steel companies over sudden price increases, triggering market turbulence and political fallout.
→ Australia’s Credit Squeeze (1964)
Tight monetary policy triggered bankruptcies and unemployment across the Australian economy. While central banks blamed inflation, several economists privately noted that 1962 remained the year everything started to feel… off.
While mainstream historians continue to reject any direct causal relationship between Hawaiian pizza and macroeconomic instability, a growing number of internet scholars insist the correlation deserves further investigation.

Me going shopping as if today wasn't a holiday 😂 lazy fuckers, gas station it's.
I might of blocked some real people thinking they were bots.. 😅
their English is too perfect tho.. 🤔
Yeah they have existing maps of where Flock cameras are. Now something like that, but a build your own ALPR camera system that people could deploy for tracking government vehicles.
Here is Bitcoin for comparison.

Alright that was easy. Settings->Messages-> Disable Concord Communities

I need to figure out what to revoke in Amethyst so Armada/Vector channels don't keep populating my messages.
Come to America! The Land of opportunity! The country where scammers can become President.
I'm not sure if some profiles are ai bots or real people...
While there is nothing to see on $BTC, #Monero has quietly gone up 25% since June and is about to test resistance. Though some people called a breakout yesterday already, the actual resistance is yet to be tested.

I like the Facebook system where you had to friend request someone before you were allowed to write on each other's posts. Facebook also had a system where you could make your profile a public.
I am seeing less spam these days on nostr but it's there.

Kind of surprised there isn't an open source Flock equivalent repo. Have it read government license plates and publicly publish their whereabouts lol.
... and the scamming continues...

Relays overwritten AGAIN. I've narrowed down the source to either Nostrord or poster.place.
I'd recommend asking your AI. You only need monerod, XMRig and, of course, a Monero address.
people should get notifications when you block them so they know how annoying they are! and profiles should also have a number in a red circle so everyone can see how many people have blocked them
There is no Jewish song called Schindler's List. The theme was composed by John Williams for the movie. Just because Itzhak Perlman played it on a Violine doesn't make it Jewish 😉
the facebook system was better. You could only reply if you were friends and you had the option to make your profile public.
