even gayming laptops can be power efficient ish. I would recommend you get your acpi tables and ask claude (or rather, chatgpt 5.6 because that one rocks) to find bugs and whatever that'd make the linux experience better. Mine did and fixed 2 bugs for me. One with the new backlit keyboard I have, and with Intel DPTF. It's so neat!
