My rebuttal to your rebuttal would be that Amethyst is a big client, and it thus matters what "features" are supported, and even more importantly what is considered "good" and what might become some kind of default over time.
I just wish people didn't assumed we made this because we don't know the risks.
We are doing it in spite of knowing the risks and knowing, using and sometimes helped develop all the other solutions out there.
Or, at least, I am.
Fossify Voice Recorder to record, no post-production, and once I hit save everything is automated via SyncThing, vibeline, whisper, and some scripts that basically run nak (transcript, shownotes, blossom upload, feed update, etc). https://zapstore.dev/apps/org.fossify.voicerecorder

If you have an issue with "Mount Stupid" please know that it is the proper term for the peak of the DK curve, similar to how "bullshit" is perfectly appropriate to use in certain contexts. https://haven.dergigi.com/436400352b6bc7ef37713d6df82bdd68678f7d0f9df39eb3d3910140e54813f4.png https://haven.dergigi.com/7acf581fd8c56bee0120faf07eeaa4824c50f1c259e47bc95711ff9d15556f9d.jpg

The subtitle is literally "Why on-chain zaps are a terrible idea" and in the first section I say that "I consider Vitor a friend, and I appreciate that he is pushing the boundary, as he always does."
There's a difference between saying something on a podcast once and someone putting a bunch of microphones in every room of your house that broadcast live 24/7.

why is the floor so wet 😭
Not gonna spend time doing workarounds. Clients need to fix their markdown rendering.
Yep, and we do have them. We have onchain, lightning alone, lightning +zaps, cashu wallets, payment targets using Monero and other chains, we even have Venmo and Bank integrations.
anybody can get it, the hard part is keeping it mf

Just did, but be warned that all my footnotes and other stuff I have in there, while being valid markdown, usually breaks most long-form clients.
Sure, we are not a blockchain. But traceability doesn't require a blockchain.
In fact, it is better for those tracing us that the information is not on-chain so that they can have something to sell.
But I digressed. If you want zaps for social signals, you need them public. If they are public, people can trace... by IP, by npub, by time, by relay queries, by blossom usage, by NWC breadcrumbs, by lightning channel closures, by buying data from your ISP provider, etc, etc, etc.
If you think you are untraceable in say.. Nostr lightning zaps.. you are not understanding the attack surface yet.
On nostr, it does. Everything is traceable here.
?
Are you implying that I "ad hominem attacked" someone? Where?
Please let me know so I can rectify the situation. I'm serious.
Public does not equal traceable.

> Do nothing: If you don’t move the money, everyone will see how much money you have to your name, as was promptly demonstrated by “wrenchstr”, rich list, and other vibe-coded projects. You might not even know about the money, but by using your nsec to sign messages (read: you simply using nostr, logging in to something, or pressing a like button here and there) proves without a shadow of a doubt that you are still in control of your keys, i.e. the keys that can move the money. Bad for users. Fantastic for criminals. A wet dream for prying eyes.
> A more realistic example would be someone sending money to you as well as to one (or multiple) addresses on the OFAC list, suggesting to law enforcement that you are part of a criminal network.

We've got a big gaming booth at @nprofile…g52m where we'll be showcasing all the games using the Score NIP.
Who's got a Nostr game that's not yet publishing Score events?
Let's get you integrated! Your logo will be up on our booth wall and attendees can play your game.

Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Seems I'm doing it wrong right now 😂
Nothing else has worked in the past 10 years, so maybe there isn't anything better than 2014 tech.
