True wealth does not lie in what you manage to keep for yourself.
But in what you manage to give away.
And, sometimes, the most precious things in life cannot be measured in terms of money.
I stack sats. I sell paintings for Bitcoin.
I believe in hard money.
And yet.
The things that stay with me the longest are never the ones I can measure.
A sincere comment under a painting.
An unexpected compliment from a stranger.
Someone who stopped, really stopped, to look.
That's not nothing.
That's everything.
Notifications are also better on iOS.
I like that there is a preview line of text.

This photo looks like a Flemish painting
It's nicer than the Android version, great job 💪
My favourite word in English, because of the way it sounds and the way it rolls off the tongue, is ‘Unbelievable’.
What’s your favourite Italian word? 🇮🇹🤌
Thanks @nprofile…n638 🙏🫂🎨
Experiment: I asked Claude to compare the main Nostr clients and rank them.
I didn't suggest anything. The result:
🥇 Wisp — "the best features/simplicity ratio in the category"
🥈 Amethyst — the protocol's lab, but heavy
🥉 Primal — great onboarding, but outdated DM spec and minimal relay control
Even AIs keep up.

I don't paint Bitcoin art.
My paintings are landscapes. Light. Silence.
But I sell them for Bitcoin, because it's the only money I trust.
Someone noticed. And made an exception for me.
@npub1zrc…mvxc has dedicated a page to my work.
In a moment when sales are quiet, this kind of recognition means more than I can say.
Thank you to everyone there for seeing something worth including.

Wisp will become synonymous with Nostr very soon as well as Primal, I have a feeling.
Even if you appreciate my art and have been following me for a long time, there is something about me that you may not know.
After making my first paintings in 1989, I stopped making art in 1992 for no particular reason. It was only the love for my wife that prompted me, exactly 30 years later, in May 2022, to pick up my brushes again. I have not stopped since then.
The most surprising thing is that by a simple stroke of luck my first painting was sold almost a year later, in March 2023.
Right around that time, @npub10qk…q8pc created the #zaps on Nostr.
This event ignited in me the idea of selling my paintings in Bitcoin.
The rest of the story is encapsulated here, among my notes and other stuff.

Maybe the fact that I had to bring home money that art didn't give me. I don't remember.
Breez liquid or Breez Spark?
Congrats! 👏🫂

That might be an idea; I'll think about it.
"The breach" is powerful, I know
Thanks 🙏
Why Nostr?
Because Nostr is too sexy.

Some paintings work. Some don't.
These two, without false modesty, work.
And they work together too.
Today I gave them their protective varnish.
They're ready to go, whenever they need to.
So far they've only spoken to me.
That's fine.
Maybe one day they'll speak to someone else too.

Today I worked on DESPITE, the painting I currently have on my easel.
The colors are there. The shapes are there.
But the painting isn't talking to me.
So I put down the brush and stood there in silence, looking at it.
Nothing. I don't feel anything today.
I put everything away. I'll come back another time.
Work in progress — or maybe just work.
Graphically, I find it jarring to see those screenshots of the app with the Dynamic Island-style camera covering some parts of the UI, and the rounded edges also make the graphics look sloppy.
Yesterday, a Nostr user posted a screenshot on X showing all the zap notifications they’d received on WoS, without mentioning Nostr, sparking a lot of curiosity about how they’d managed to receive those sats.
Normies aren’t interested in Nostr, but in how to earn sats easily.
We are convinced that we are living in an age where, thanks to AI, it is no longer clear what is true and what is false – the difference being that now we know this, whereas before it was the same and we believed everything.
The real risk of the AI age is not falsehood, but epistemic apathy: ‘I don’t know what is true, so I might as well not bother finding out.’

I asked Claude to analyse your website, telling him to put himself in the shoes of a typical Facebook, Instagram or X user, and this was his response:
Here's what doesn't convince me:
**1. The learning curve is insane.** You don't sign up with email and password. You have to manage a **public key** (your username) and a **private key** (your password) — if you lose the private one, your account is gone forever. For someone like me who uses "password123" for everything... that's a serious problem.
**2. Relays are a mess.** If you're only connected to relay A and I'm only connected to relay B, we can't see each other even if we're both on Nostr. We need to share at least one relay in common. How am I supposed to know where my friends are?
**3. Android only.** Wisp is Android only. Half my contacts have an iPhone. End of conversation.
**4. The community is still tiny.** Opening a social network where nobody I know is there is just demotivating. On Instagram I have 400 followers built up over years. Here I'd be starting from scratch.
**5. The protocol's creator.** According to a Business Insider investigation, Nostr's founder reportedly published material in the past connected to a well-known Brazilian far-right conspiracy theorist. Not exactly something that makes me want to trust the platform blindly.
If you send 10k sats now that you have 1k followers, will you send 100k sats when you have 10k? 🤣
I can't understand why people don't like Bitcoin.
But maybe I understand.
People hate freedom.

Dear nonexistent algorithm of Nostr, let me meet all those for whom art is an unavoidable need. 🫂🎨
And while you’re at it, bring me together with all those for whom pasta is an exceptional pleasure. 🙏🍝
GM #Nostr and "pole pole" 🤙
----
“Pole pole” in Swahili is a gentle verbal reassurance: it means “little by little”, “slowly”, “take your time”.
It is not just an invitation to slow down, but almost a philosophy. On the hot streets of East Africa, you hear it said when someone is rushing about, getting flustered, losing themselves in the urgency. It is a gentle reminder:
take it easy, breathe, let time flow without rushing it.
Within those two words lies a different rhythm of life — less frenzy, more presence.
A way of saying: it’s not about getting there first, it’s about arriving whole.
There was a link shortening service based on Nostr some time ago but it has been discontinued
So far, I’ve only tried the ‘Store’ and ‘Art’ sections.
The ‘Store’ section is really comprehensive and covers every detail – well done.
It would be nice to have a service that shortens the links so they’re easier to remember, but I realise that must be quite complicated.
