📰 **What happened this week in the Bitcoin World**
✍️ by NM team
Michael Saylor just detonated the "never sell" doctrine he spent four years building — and the rubble hasn't even settled yet. Meanwhile, Bitcoin developers are debating whether to freeze coins own by Satoshi, Switzerland told Bitcoin proponents to go home, and a cruise ship virus has traders flashing back to the COVID crash of 2020. This was not a quiet week.

📰 **When a Cruise Ship Priority Line Becomes a Federal Case**
✍️ by Oslo
Two women board a Carnival cruise expecting turquoise water and poolside cocktails. Instead, one question about who belongs in the loyalty line spirals into slaps, kicks, and a date in federal court. Now both passengers face criminal charges, lifetime cruise bans, and the destruction of Diamond status that took years to earn...

If there is such a way, that would probably also mean we are getting much closer to breaking ECDLP.
Didn’t Rihanna suffer a wrench attack from Chris Brown?

Claude says these ones should work:
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Zcash
- Tron
- EOS
- Cosmos
- Binance Chain
- Stacks
These ones specifically will NOT work:
- Solana, Cardano, Polkadot, Algorand, Stellar, XRP Ledger, Aptos, Sui - these use ed25519 (Edwards curve)
- Monero - uses ed25519 variant
- Zcash shielded transactions - use Jubjub / BLS12-381
there were non-secp256k1 keys? 😂
In addition, address reuse is bad for everyone else on the network (because it decreases the anonymity set). #nevent1q…5a7y
Is anybody tracking nip support of the different projects? https://nostr.info/resources/ does with data stored on nostr relays.
I'm working on a nip to make it both more generic and more robust but intend to migrate all data in case it catches on as is, which so far it doesn't.

The problem is figuring out from a Nostr pubkey how to send in a way the user can actually spend. The key MUST be secp256k1 for this to work, which fortunately is a lot of them.
I didn't know Nostr devs had such an ancient history.

It's been about 2 weeks completely using open weight's models for my development work flows and it's been a better, and more consistent experience than frontier models since the big retardation.
My current preference is GLM 5.1 and 5.0, but kimi-k 2.6 is fine. Qwen has left much to be desired imo. My favorite chat model currently is deepseek 4.
None of these are affordable to run locally, don't bother imo. I spend a lot of time using smaller models like ~30b range for "privacy sensitive" work and it's worth trying if you have ~32GB of vram available.
All inference providers currently suck in different ways, which I'm sure y'all have experience with so we've been testing the bare minimum hardware setups able to sustain usable quality output tokens, but that's still a very fine line.

Nostr is going Multi-coin, and noob friendlier 👀.
A true test if we can make Nostr an essential part of the next communication system post internet.
Cody nostr: @npub17n4…fyh9 built jumble.social and I hard-forked it about a half a year back and took it in a different direction. It tends to be cutting-edge because I use it to develop/evaluate/test specs and functionality, but I try to keep it usable because I like using it.
