I find it pretty wild, but amazing how such a niche technology has gotten me diving down political and economic theory, rhetoric, metaphysics... etc just so i can be better at communicating why it is actually a superior technology and framework than what most are familiar with.
Probably mostly an excuse to indulge in obscure philosophy, but it does seem that some of it actully lands. Maybe in some highly obtuse way my intuition is actually on to something 🤷
South Carolina just passed a law requiring platforms to estimate your age every 100 hours of use, or any time they run their algorithms on you. 80% confidence minimum, $10k fine per wrong guess. The incentive is to collect more data about everyone, including kids.

It's a sticky situation. Government is usually fine so long as you have the means to storm and replace it if they start overstepping their bounds. But that possibility is gone so the government can just encroach infinitely.
If they were defending property rights, then they'll defend someone else's rights more than your rights eventually and violate yours in the process. When that happens, you have to be able to take that right back into your own hands and oppose the government.

Lol good to know. I pretty much have nobara working out of the box for _most_ games. Required a bit of GE tweaking for some games. Others flat out suck. For example. I got GTAV running great, RD2 terrible on the same equipment I have another windows VM running it's great. So I use nobara for most gaming, and switch to windows when we need to.
Gaming in VMs is so nice for convenience.
In my opinion, the function of government is to protect property rights, which obviously can't come from government in that definition. I don't think you'll have one without the other. A government without property rights is gang rule. Property rights don't really exist without a system of government. Might is the only right. Unfortunately, bad culture and philosophy leads to authoritarianism. Governance turns to brute rule.

I feel I am running very slow for my achievements like rebuilding my home although I tried in my best.
With the current Government economic situation in Sri Lanka makes my dream very far from me. Inflation is high and the thing I can do is work in my best and wait and watch. Hope everything will be good with my family.
