Ok normie question because Nostr is making my brain melt lately 😅
People are saying these new on-chain zap ideas are a huge privacy/security problem and that someone can basically send objectionable stuff “to your npub” because it becomes a Bitcoin address or something along those lines.
But when I ask my AI, it tells me:
npub is still just a public Nostr identity key
nobody can hack/drain you by sending BTC
most risks sound more like normal privacy/linking issues that already existed in different forms anyway
So can someone please explain in simple human language:
what EXACTLY changes with on-chain zaps?
how can an npub supposedly become tied to on-chain data?
and what is the actual worst-case scenario here in practice?
Because right now this sounds half terrifying and half crypto folklore 😂
