Today while we were on the way to the shops went passed a group of young men, one of them said "nice dog" he must have noticed the Palestinian flag because he immediately followed the comment with "fuck Israel"
It made my day, two of the most welcome comments i could receive from a stranger.

I probably wouldn't have 90% of the conversations and small talk I do with strangers if not for the dog.
Even when I'm alone "where's your dog" "where's Beefy" is how people on the street I only know from brief conversations on the street or at the shops start a conversation.
Small town thing, not really that small, it's like 3000 within the town and another 2000 people within the rest of the surrounding villages or on farms.

Your point on moral compass and intentions is well taken but I do believe almost all the arguments and accusations thrown around morality over in bitcoin right now are just strawman arguments as someone else pointed out. Has any of the accusitions been proven beyond circumstantial evidence or assumptions? Normally using morality as a first filter is a sound idea. But in this instance, there is so much noise, it certainly feels like an easy accusation to discredit any and all opinions from the other side.
My point in all of this is yes, we have core vs bip110 right now but both camps are bitcoiners. The world isn't going to agree on any one thing, that's a fact. But the reality of the world today is the bigger war is fiat vs bitcoin. The infighting has to stop.

this is a central principle that guided the design of bitcoin. fixed monetary policy. monetary policy is just about borrowing from the future to spend today. eventually you have to pay it off, and if you refuse to accept that, you get a collapse, the market panics, and is forced to sell as prices soar through the stratosphere.
