There was a flea market in my town that - teenage legend had it - housed a guy who would modify your game console to play pirated games. I remember being so intrigued by that. I think it was my first run-in with agorism, and I was tantalized!

No. It would just be a calculation of an nsec out of login data. The login data would never be stored anyway, they would just be SHA256-hashed, and that hash would be the private key. This is just a thought about making a Nostr client "normie" friendly.
By to some extent I mean he has it in self custody, it's his main savings, but I don't know if he runs his own node.
