My hard is when I'll work out and eat well for awhile so I know how good it feels. And then go a few years letting it all go, so that like today I can go almost die running a single mile. Ffs 6 years ago I was putting in 30k steps a day and 3-4 miles of running was something I'd do out of boredom alongside daily kettlebell swings and getups.
I'm sure I'll whip myself back into shape with some fasting and working out as my kid goes to college -- not my first time getting way into and then way out of shape. At some point perhaps I'll take the hint that its easier to stay in shape than get in shape...
Whatever though. I'm a mess, and I'll just be glad I at least can muster the will to fix the messes I make for myself even if I can't seem to stop making them.
