Why is "blind merged mining" called that? Dreadfully misleading name; it's nothing like blind signatures. It means L1 miners don't have to run L2 nodes; so sure, it conveys something, but there's another thing that would be cool, which it sounds like, but which it isn't 😄
If you made L2 commitments on L1 but steganographically, and you could prove them after confirmation with ZKPs, you'd remove the censorship risk (more crudely: merged mining gives censorship control to miners of various flavors depending on design).
*ZKP or could just be encryption, commit-reveal. The point is the steganographic part so no one sees the L2 commitment until after it's in a buried block.
