It's been raining constantly here lately and we couldn't go out in the garden, so I took advantage of this weather and went for a walk nearby to the mountain stream and the rapids, and now it's a really fast river.

The point of this is not private entropy but public entropy, for example if you are doing a giveaway and want to make it verifiable.
This uses threshold BLS signatures, where the signed data is the timestamp (can be chained as well), and the signature is hashed to get entropy. The initial keys were also generated with multiple parties.
You can't really bias the output except at setup, if you knew *the future usecase you want to bias*, and bruteforced a key that would return a preferred value at that exact timestamp.

Congolese Man Dies in Dublin After Being Restrained by Guards
A Congolese man died after being restrained by security guards in Ireland, in an incident that has drawn comparisons to the 2020 killing of George Floyd.
Footage shows Yves Sakila, 35, being pinned to the ground by multiple men on Henry Street in Dublin city centre at around 5pm on Friday, following an alleged shoplifting incident.
At one point, one of the men appears to kneel on Sakila’s neck or head. Later, a different guard presses Sakila’s head down to the ground.
After being restrained for several minutes, Sakila falls unresponsive, and one of the men appears to check his neck for a pulse.
He was later taken by ambulance to Mater Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Sakila, who had lived in Ireland since 2004, had spent the last two years as a resident at the Salvation Army’s Granby Centre.
He was regarded by staff there as a “pleasant and quiet” resident with a “deep interest in technology and sometimes attended prayer services”, the Irish Times reported.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) called for Sakila’s death to be “swiftly, thoroughly and transparently investigated” by the Garda Síochána, Ireland’s police force.
“The footage is deeply distressing and clearly shows a disproportionate and excessive use of force by people who seem to be security personnel,” the ICCL said.
More than 100 people gathered on Tuesday to call for justice for Sakila, leaving flowers by a lamppost next to the scene of the incident.
One man held a sign saying: “Justice for Yves and all victims of systematic brutality”.
A Garda spokesperson said: “The scene was preserved and has since been forensically examined. The Coroner has been notified and the Office of the State Pathologist will conduct a post-mortem examination.”
Dublin Live reported on Wednesday that the post mortem failed to determine a cause of death.
Sakila’s younger brother, Corneille, told the outlet: “The family and the entire Congolese community demands justice.”

1) if AI erases our purpose and source of meaning, then the “transformational” camp must be correct.
2) the transformational camp is not correct
3) therefore AI cannot erase our purpose and source of meaning
the human task remains the same: look at the world and your neighbor, and think how do i create value for others.

Reproduction is one of basic drives of nature. If someone doesnt have it, maybe they should not spread their DNA around, there is clearly something wrong with em on biological level.

It was difficult for me to come up with a name for these 4 images but I’ve now decided that “Primordial Imprints” would be the best title, since it reminds me of something ancient, almost fossil-like.
I don’t know how the name comes across to you, but I’m perfectly fine with it. 🙂

I find it so fascinating to observe how nature communicates with us when we connect with all our senses.
A few weeks ago, I had a lumbago that was incredibly painful. I'm still recovering and have to move very mindfully and breathe deeply consciously deep, because my diaphragm was also very tense.
And ever since that bout of lumbago, I've been seeing horsetail growing everywhere! I've lived in the same place for over four years now, and this is the first time I've ever seen horsetail growing here. So I'm accepting nature's invitation and have already collected a nice supply, and I drink some of it every day 🥰
