**Scientists Discover Common Medications May Secretly Alter Your Gut for Years**
By SciTechDaily.com - Published on 24 May 2026
A new study suggests the gut microbiome may retain long-term signatures of past medication use, with some drugs leaving detectable effects years after treatment ends. Your gut may carry a record of medications you stopped taking years ago. A large study from the University of Tartu Institute of Genomics suggests that prescription drugs can leave [...]

I have dove very deep into IRS. Which is why it said that t could be run better or replaced. I defend my own views that I don’t mind paying into a system that helps everyone out…especially those struggling.
I also agree, the current system helps to enslave us and we don’t really benefit much. But, taxing or paying so that we all prosper has been human nature since the beginning.

Been pondering what makes something true as well, especially in confusing topics. I realized the answer is nature. Whatever is most grounded in nature feels like the best answer. And I throw that loosely, it could physics, community, anatomy. Doesnt always work for every context but its a good guidance

Rutgers Canceled Me as a Graduation Speaker Because of My Advocacy for Palestine
Rutgers’s School of Engineering held its graduation ceremony on Friday – without me, its convocation speaker.
As a Rutgers engineering graduate and engaged alumnus, I was honored when the dean of the school – whom I had done a fireside chat with in March – invited me to deliver the convocation address back in December.
Two weeks before the event, he called again and [disinvited me][1].
The reason, in his own words: some students had complained that my social media posts about Palestine “are against their beliefs,” and might not attend their own graduation. He told me candidly that he had decided not to review what I posted before making the decision. He acknowledged this had never happened before at this convocation. And in the same call, he floated a long-term solution – the school might simply discontinue having convocation speakers altogether, so “we don’t have this issue anymore.”
“This issue” is not me. It is the willingness of a public American university to host any speaker whose humanitarian advocacy on Gaza some students and administrators would prefer not to hear.
[Subscribe now][2]
My core philosophy is that everybody matters. I have spoken publicly on issues many consider controversial – Black lives, abortion, ICE, DEI, Palestine. This isn’t the first time I’ve been targeted for the last of these; I’ve weathered multiple attempts to silence me as a public-company CEO. In response to one such attempt, my social media was reviewed in detail by a leading law firm. The conclusion: posts on “a broad range of social, humanitarian, and global issues,” focused on “critiquing government actions and spotlighting humanitarian concerns.” Nothing improper. Protected speech. If a leader of another ethnicity were harassed like this, it would make news. But for Arab and Muslim Americans, it’s the casual racism our communities endure.
My posts call out [civilian casualties][3], the [mass killing][4] of [children][5] and [journalists][6], the systematic destruction of [hospitals][7] and [schools][8], and the [subversion][9] of our [democracy][10] in the service of a foreign state.
Rutgers says it wants to focus on students. That logic collapses on contact with the facts: the cancellation was driven by a small number of students, against the visible opposition of a far larger one. The faculty union demanded my reinstatement. A student campaign generated more than 36,000 signatures on a [petition][11] calling for the same. My mere presence, Rutgers Engineering has decided, is what its graduating engineers cannot be exposed to. Unable to challenge me on the facts, the institution stifled the speech instead.
I write this shortly after World Press Freedom Day. Israel has [killed more journalists][12] [than any nation in history][13] — more than the known number of journalists killed in the U.S. Civil War, WWI, WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam War combined. In July 2024,* The Lancet *medical journal estimated Israel had killed [186,000][14] people in Gaza since October 2023. With entire neighborhoods and cities reduced to rubble now, nearly two years after that study, that number is feared to be much higher. Thousands of students protesting these atrocities have been met with violence or silence. Now, a handful of students object to a speech and get exactly what they want. Therein lies the bias at the heart of the Palestine exception: one side gets congressional hearings, the other gets [revoked degrees][15] and [broken noses][16].
[Subscribe now][17]
This is not a university balancing competing speakers, weighing student safety, or navigating the boundaries of protected speech. On the one side: my public statements on the moral crisis of our time. On the other side, a small number of students who disagree with those statements. That the existence of the objection – not its substance – was sufficient is itself a testament to anti-Palestinian bias at Rutgers.
What happened is textbook viewpoint discrimination by a state actor. Rutgers is a public university. The First Amendment fully applies. A public university cannot rescind a speaking invitation because others disagree with the speaker’s views – especially views expressed in protected political activity on a matter of grave humanitarian and public concern.
It is also a betrayal of what Rutgers claims to be. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression [ranks][18] Rutgers-New Brunswick 236th out of 257 American colleges and universities for free speech – an F grade, dropping 38 places in a single year.
I do not believe a speaker of a different background, holding views on a different conflict, would have been treated this way. I am Egyptian-American, and I have spoken publicly for Palestinian civilians. I am the second Arab-American speaker in two years to face a Rutgers campaign over humanitarian advocacy on Gaza. Last year, the institution held the line. This year, it did not.
A university is the last institution in American life whose explicit purpose is to be a place where ideas are tested and contested. The four years a student spends on campus are supposed to be where they learn to encounter disagreement without requiring its removal. When a public university models the opposite – when it teaches by its own example that the answer to objection is silencing, and that the answer to the difficulty of defending a speaker is to abolish the institution of having speakers altogether – it is failing not one speaker or one class of students. It is failing the generation of students it was built to serve.

So cool @nprofile…jen4 it is its nature! 😉
Communities are by nature socially centralized. Therefore the right design in my opinion is to have its content bound to pubkeys rather than server addresses. The data can still be redundant if community members take care about archival and hosting.
For public communities - like opensource development - this is definitely the way and the data should be widely replicated.
This is a key property of #communikeys.
My humble opinion about privacy is: if you need personally, generate a new pubkey for the kind of interaction you want to be hiding.

Premier League Wants Domain Registrar Tucows to Unmask Sports Streaming Pirates
[ballnetblock]This weekend features the final round in the Premier League football season, but the league’s anti-piracy enforcement machine is showing no signs of slowing down.
On Wednesday, the Premier League took its legal concerns to a California federal court. Specifically, it requested a DMCA subpoena to compel domain registrar Tucows to identify the operators of a fresh batch of pirate sports-streaming sites.
## Premier League’s Subpoena
The legal paperwork lists a web of pirate sports streaming domains and redirects, identifying 25 targets. Many of these sites use well-known sports pirate brands, including Totalsportek, Sportsurge, and Rojadirecta, which are not necessarily linked to the original operations.
**Tucows domains targeted:** antenasport.org, abcsport.top, totalsportek777.com, totalsportekfree.com, cricfree.online, deporte-libre.click, dlhd.link, dlstreams.top, dlstreams.com, dlhd.dad, warpfootball.com, doballkub.com, crichdbest.com, footystream.top, foxtrend.net, sportytrend.net, foxtrend.co, gamestrend.net, gamescentral.top, freeshot.live, futbolandres.xyz, futbollibre.org, sportsurge.bz, hitslink.xyz, totalsportek.events, monoomax.com, olympicstreams.co, ovogoal.plus, ovogoal.org, ovogoaal.com, rojadirectafhd.com, yacin.net, sports-now.top, telegratishd.com, tupelotalibre.com, tvhdlibre.com, tvpass.org
Futbollibre.org was one of the most trafficked domains, with more than 12 million monthly visits last month, according to Similarweb. The domain, along with several others on the list, was already suspended and placed on “clienthold” roughly two weeks before the Premier League’s subpoena request, a registrar-level status that disables the domain.
Whether these suspensions were connected to the Premier League’s complaint is unknown. Other domains in the list remain online at the time of writing.
## ‘Disable Access’
According to the Premier League, these sites all streamed football matches without permission. This was also made clear in a copyright infringement notification that was sent to domain name registrar Tucows by the Premier League’s legal team at Hagan Noll & Boyle.
This notification is mandatory in order to obtain a DMCA subpoena and asks Tucows to disable the listed domains.
“Tucows is asked to remove or disable access to Premier League’s copyrighted works, which, based on the infringement that has occurred to date through the websites and domain names identified above, will continue to be infringed in this same manner throughout the Premier League season and into future seasons,” the letter reads.
*Copyright infringement notification*
[tucows ask]
Additionally, the legal paperwork includes a detailed investigation into the infringing nature of the sites. According to the Premier League, this paperwork is sufficient for a court clerk to sign the DMCA subpoena, without putting it before a judge.
## Exposing the Operators
If the proposed DMCA subpoena is granted, it would require Tucows to share all personally identifying information it has on the registrants of these domains. That includes names, physical addresses, IP addresses, telephone numbers, emails, addresses, payment information, and account history.
*Proposed DMCA subpoena*
[[proposed subpoena]][1]
At the time of writing, a court clerk has yet to sign off on the subpoena, which is typically a formality.
Whether DMCA subpoenas can reach intermediaries that don’t store infringing content has been contested before. Last year, the Ninth Circuit [ruled][2] that this route was not valid when movie companies used it to demand data from internet provider Cox, because it was a mere conduit for its subscribers’ traffic. How this logic applies to a registrar has yet to be tested.
## The Streams Use Amazon and Google
At this point, it is worth pointing out that the pirated streams are not hosted on the domain names that are targeted in the subpoena. This is also evident from the Premier League’s own investigation package, which points to other American tech companies.
For example, the antenasport.org domain streamed the match between Fulham and Aston Villa from a backend link at Amazon Web Services. As shown below, the .m3u8 playlist was loaded through s3.dualstack.us-east-2.amazonaws.com. The same applies to content streamed from other domains.
*From the evidence package*
[[amazonstream]][3]
Amazon is not alone, as Google’s cloud storage URL “storage.googleapis.com” also appeared in the evidence package, linked to a pirated stream for the Sunderland vs Nottingham Forest match.
Whether the Premier League also attempted to get information through these companies is unknown.
*From the notice*
[[googleapi]][4]
Regarding the Premier League’s DMCA subpoena request, Tucows informed TorrentFreak that it complies when legally required to.
“Tucows is a staunch advocate for free speech and the freedom of expression on the Internet however, when served with valid due process, like any business, Tucows complies,” writes Reg Levy, the company’s Associate General Counsel for Domains.
Tucows declined to comment further, citing potential ongoing or active investigations. For now, the Premier League’s request awaits a clerk’s signature. Whether the operators behind these sites are eventually unmasked is another question.

The main value is so you can proactively have a exit strategy upon compromise, and not necessarily lose all your old posts and associations. The keyset would even include previously used npubs and specifically define them as compromised and no longer used, old posts remain associated but new events made under it.
Your npub would only be sort of static. It could have signed events proving another key or set of keys had control over the nsec at some point
The main benefit over the old full recycle method is keeping posts associated with your new key(s) in clients.
Relays can refer to the keyset to decide if deleting old posts is not legitimate, perhaps arbitrarily requiring N of N keys to delete. These permissions COULD be defined inside the keyset, as a kind of security model, where some keys are defined as more authoritative or simply that relays and clients should only trust N of N keys.
The keyset would include a list of npubs and signatures from each of them to prove ownership.
There's still a time problem because some relays accept posts timestamped in the past. How do you define old legitimate posts without resigning everything? Defining that posts before "created_at" time works, but it's still on relays to honor the keyset.
Anyway. This is how key retirement should probably be done.
Tried signing up for Glass - a photography social network just to see what it’s about and it doesn’t even work. Got stuck in onboarding.
And they say nostr is jank …
