Another day without a GM or GN or anything. @nprofile…yaey what’s up? I thought you had more to say.
That's faster and cheaper than I thought
I don’t really understand what you’re asking.
Awesome, and thanks for reminding me to revisit this UX to see if there’s any way I can make it easier or clearer. As you can probably tell, this one was a struggle!
If you remove the account from the client’s switcher
and revoke all that app’s trusted settings and start again it should clear up.
Exactly. I grew up watching TV sitcoms with the same canned laughter (from dead people) after every stupid joke or reaction. The brainrot has always been there. It’s just more personalized now.
A 40% bitcoin drawdown can turn a FIRE plan into forced selling fast.
You can stack for years, hit your number, leave the paycheck, then watch bitcoin fall 75-85% while the mortgage and grocery bills keep coming. Conviction doesn't cover expenses. A withdrawal plan does.
The 4% rule tells you to save 25 times your annual expenses, but it was built from stock-and-bond history. Bitcoin has routinely suffered deeper drawdowns, and every dollar of spending requires selling part of the asset. That makes sequence-of-returns risk especially dangerous near retirement.
I ran a $1.5 million portfolio with $100,000 in annual expenses through historical bitcoin bear-market patterns. Under the model's assumptions, 100% bitcoin supported $111,816 a year. A 50/50 bitcoin-stock mix supported $195,216. The blended portfolio didn't win because stocks had the better expected return. It won because stocks were sold first, giving bitcoin time to recover instead of forcing sales near the bottom.
That buffer has a cost: less bitcoin means giving up upside when the bear never arrives. Your answer depends on your timeline and flexibility. Index funds, cash, yield instruments, lower spending, or temporary income can all build a bridge through the danger zone.

Get yourself a z.ai GLM API key, run it inside Claude CLI.
I never used Armada until now but I just opened it and sent a test message, and it signed right away. I’m also replying to you now on NoorNote. What version are you using? If it’s 1.3 or later this should not be an issue.
So, believe it or not, that’s actually a safety feature, not a bug. 😅
There's no way for Sidecar to detect which account you’re using inside the client. Sidecar can only sign based on the account it’s showing in its own chooser. So once two of your accounts have logged into the same site, Sidecar asks you to approve every event, even though you set it to trusted, because the client’s own account switcher can change accounts without informing Sidecar, which means you’d be posting or react as the wrong identity without even realizing it. (This was happening in an earlier version, and the current method is the fix.)
My recommendation is to only use Sidecar as your multi-account switcher and sign in and out of the client when you want to switch. Some clients like Primal (that don’t have their own multi-account switchers) just do this automatically on refresh. If a site already has two of your accounts on it, you can revoke one in Sidecar’s activity tab.
The other option is to set up unique browser profiles for each identity, each with its own Sidecar. I actually do this because I maintain a bunch of different npubs and it’s just cleaner that way.
Nostr is messy!
Testing now by replying to you on NoorNote from Sidecar.
Are you signed into the client with more than one account by any chance?
Buzz definitly needed to use Nostr because it is the underpinning of the entire architectural vision behind the product. No Nostr, no blossom, no ngit, no app interoperability, no sovereign identity...non of it.
All of it only makes sense from the paradigm that Nostr introduces, and the whole point of that paradigm is that all the other possible usecases of the protocol can tie-in to whatever it is this Buzz thing is doing, if not just from an identity andor socialgraph point of view, but potentially more.
Ergo, our entire civilization needs to be made aware of this paradigm, at least to the degree they have the intuition that when it says ''Nostr'' on the box, its works with all that other stuff that says ''Nostr'' on the box. In that regard its not ''written in Go'' its ''USB", such that you know you can connect your camera to your computer.
Whenever we get to the point that alteast to a small degree such understanding exists, the twitter thread of @npub1sg6…f63m 's announcement wont be filled by ''why not Discord'', ''Why not slack'', because they already understand how and why that is a retarded question.
I agree with this moral angle. Not that it is particularly effective in ''converting'' people, but i think it is true non the less.
In line with that i can't really bring up any more sympathy for any content creator or whatever that gets rug-pulled. They are very much aware of their precarious situation, so it was also on them to do something about it. The only thing can give them is that these things take time, and that Nostr itself still requires a lot of work, and that they can't just abandon existing network effects because they ''business'' relies on it; but at the same time, all of those things would be massively accelerated if all of them would dedicate just 10% of their attention to Nostr. Instead i encouter a lot of apathy, so....fuck 'm
cmon, that's funny :D

According to this, Sidecar already has 6000 users. I know this can’t possibly be true, but can you even imagine the conversations we’d have with even half that number? 🤣

The clear benefit is the fact that it is what differentiates his silly app from all the other silly apps out there.
Now do people understand that? No, they don't.
SO WE WILL HAVE TO FUCKING INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT IT SO THAT THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE ELSE HAS A SILLY APP AND ITS BUILD ON NOSTR PEOPLE DO UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS RELEVANT. AND WE WILL FOREVER RUN AGAINST THAT PROBLEM IF NOBODY BOTHERS TO EXPLAIN IT TO THEM IF FAGGOTS LIKE YOU AND JACK KEEP THINKING IT SHOULD NOT BE ON THE FUCKING MARKETING PAGE.
The list of nostr 'violations' is longer actually. For the time being i optimistically put that on it being an alpha version on the one hand and that the devs behind it not being Nostr devs on the other.
By deleting wallets and have people like Gloria work on Bitcoin. Adam Back is also compromised from his work before Bitcoin.
I just want to be Her background music. Just with more caressing, kissing and sucking. #mood

Oh great, they’ve backdoored it.
Any idea how much shipping to Belgium would be?
I'm more a KAAH KAAH kinda guy
Idk what to do with that 😅
Looking at the interactions on Twitter, Jack should have just mentioned Nostr right then and there. All that happened by omitting it was confusion and others having to point to Nostr in order to give some clarity.
Inb4 'but people don't know what Nostr is anyway'
Yes, that is the point. They need to read the word first, before they even know what to investigate to get understanding.
Inb4 'people dont need to know about Nostr'
Yes, they do.

If we get a decent cycle this time, I might be able to order some bulk 😁
Seagulls can be dicks though
Damn, that would freak me out too
Still have some childhood trauma from that Birds movie from Albert Hitchcock 😂
Getting them to bring me cash or drugs would be the end goal 😁
Nice man! This gives me a good idea on what I should do
Yeah, I'll also take it slow. Kinda curious how it will go. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you for responding. I'm dealing with city crows atm. Are there things I can do to help them so they can have more free time?
Like what are they doing? Looking for food and build nests? And do you think they will steal things from me to extort me for food?
When we have a better cycle or when I have a steady stream of income 😅
I'm really not staying in Europe for too long
Ok. Was just throwing in on the floor. Maybe I can 3d print some sort of birdfeeder
How are you using these tools? I imagine very differently than how I do.
