Things are getting slow at that scale, so we're working on speed improvements and it's not a real test in production on different phones, but quite encouraging numbers.

A little trick to get yourself to make more interesting compositions, making things off center, or dividing them into zones. Very useful, and you probably came to it naturally because it looks good. There's something there in the math that the human brain likes in its art.

Yeah this makes sense, but would add to the friction on my end. I can accept BTC seamlessly via BTCPayServer, it goes direct to my node– no intermediaries– and I don't have to worry about swapping or anything else afterwards. BTC is my unit of account, MoE, and SoV all in one. No need to look further; If customers have XMR, or fiat, or any other currency they wish to use (salt, seashells, cigarettes) and they wish to support my business– the best way for them to do so, is trade whatever they have, for Bitcoin– and #SpendSats.🫡

Yeah I get you, I'm not limiting anyone though, I'm just keeping things simple for myself. It's just what makes sense to me personally. We quit a very successful fiat business for the exact same reason, I don't *want* fiat. I don't want to sell my time or PoW for fiat. I don't want to live in or participate in the fiat world whatsoever. I am *intentionally* trying to remove myself and my family's economic activities from that system... so why would I accept fiat at all?
@npub1lrn…qnw5 doesn’t need me to defend him here, but I know his attitude comes from a good place. He witnessed many horrors during the last few bitcoin cycles and that kind of carnage changes a man forever.
Let me also put it this way:
If a privacy-by-default system like #Monero had been the initial baseline for digital cash, and someone subsequently introduced a completely transparent ledger like Bitcoin, it would have been instantly rejected as an absurdity -if not an outright piece of state surveillance software. Imagine presenting a new protocol to a public accustomed to native confidentiality and saying:
"We’ve built a alternative where every transaction you make, your full balance, and your complete counterparty history are permanently published on a public bulletin board for corporations, governments, and bad actors to monitor indefinitely."
The reaction would be unanimous shock:
"Why on earth would anyone voluntarily trade monetary freedom for a permanent, public financial panopticon?"
I think, the only reason transparent ledgers are defended today is status quo bias -mistaking chronological priority for architectural superiority. In any rational economic framework, native privacy is not an added feature; but rather it is the fundamental prerequisite for fungibility, personal safety, and censorship resistance. Had private digital cash set the initial standard, exposing your entire financial history to the world wouldn't be spun as "openness" or "auditability" -it would be correctly recognized as a critical design vulnerability and a dystopian nightmare.
