A person should find a job, and it should be a job that they'll do because it needs doing rather than because it pays them.
Some people take sick days not for the sake of protecting others and not for the sake of making sure they do a good job, but because working while sick is uncomfortable. I think those people will find that their sickness might go away, but their discomfort with working will never leave them.
